Hi everyone,
I read as much as I could find about trimming under the screen in ScrOG grows. From what I gathered, it sounds like anything that isn't going to make it to the top of the screen should go. I decided to take away some of the obvious veg that was just getting in the way of good...
Hi friends!
Numbers:
pH: 6.2
PPM: 975
I topped off my reservoir with some RO water today which brought the PPM down. There was a tiny hint of nute burn on the tips of some of the upper developing leaves, so it looks like I caught any ill effects early and hopefully neutralized any...
Hi everyone,
So we're four weeks from seed today, and she's looking great. She has SO many flowering sites! I think she's right on the verge of exploding with bud growth. Training is going well. I haven't had any more injuries. A lot of what training involves lately is tucking under leafy...
Haha :). I've been transitioning to full strength flowering nutes, so it should be higher after tonight when I do a flush. As for why my PPM is dropping between flushes, the plant has been drinking a lot lately so I've had to top off my reservoir with ~1 liter of RO water every two days or so...
Numbers:
pH: 5.75
PPM: 750
I had to adjust my reservoir pH up a bit today, as it had drifted down over the last 24 hours.
Nothing much new today. The smaller damaged branch isn't looking too great. I think I may have re-damaged her yesterday when I removed the sling to move the main stem a...
Thanks, SoA. I'm not supercropping, just ScrOG + DWC in a PC case. My impression is that any HST is sort of pointless on autoflowers because they don't have a long enough recovery period before flowering. I could be wrong though. Has anyone tried it?
I did accidentally damage a branch to the...
Good stuff going on in here the past couple days :). Lots of nice plants growing. Props, folks. Here is an updated version of my addition to the tree army. This is day 26 from seed.
Feel free to check out daily updates and/or ask questions / talk about random stuff in my journal (link in...
Numbers:
pH: 5.5
PPM: 625
Good numbers. No adjustment necessary.
I was able to mount the front light fixture today and reinstall a 30W 2700k bulb. I found out that the 125W 2700k just shipped today, so I'm expecting it later this week.
Not much else to say for today. I didn't get...
Hey guys and gals,
Numbers:
pH: 6.1
PPM: 600
I topped off my reservoir with RO water earlier today which brought the pH up a bit and the PPM(TDS) down. Adjusted the pH back down to where it is now. Looking fairly stable. I can definitely use full strength nutes next flush, if not even...
Numbers:
pH: 5.75
PPM: 800
Didn't have to adjust anything tonight. Looking good. I will need to top off my reservoir with RO water tomorrow, however.
The first broken branch is officially a goner. It was pretty obvious when I opened up my case tonight that there was no coming back. I...
Hey Haydoon, thanks for your thoughts. I noticed that the holes in my screen were a bit small too as soon as I started training. I'll definitely figure something out before my next grow, but for this one I think I'm going to leave it as-is. The holes in my current screen are 1" squares. Using a...
Okay, thanks rasta. I'll see what I can do. I'm not sure there's much hope for this guy anymore though :(.
Updates for tonight:
I managed to break another branch tonight. *sigh*. I think before my next grow I'll figure out a way to raise the screen another inch or so. It is pretty tight...
Hey folks,
Numbers:
pH: 5.5
PPM: 770
Looking good. The pH had risen from 5.5 when I flushed it earlier today to 6.5 before I adjusted it down a few minutes ago (roughly 12 hours later), but in my experience after my first pH adjustment things begin to remain relatively stable for the next few...
Thanks, endofwed! Unfortunately it was very wilted when I checked it this morning and hasn't gotten any better since, but I'm holding out hope for a few more days. I pulled the limp branch up through the screen so she would be better supported as well. I don't plan on touching that branch again...
Medium-scale disaster!!! I broke a branch while I was training tonight :(. I was trying to scooch it back towards the center of the screen a bit too much... Ergh. As soon as I heard *crack* and looked down to see what I had done I got a sinking feeling. It was one of the first set of branches...
Hi all,
Numbers:
pH: 6.6
PPM: 700
The pH is a little high, but that is because I topped off the reservoir with plain RO water this morning. I expect the pH to stay relatively stable until I can flush it tomorrow night, so I'm not worried.
The odor neutralizing gel I ordered came in...
Thanks a bunch, reefermdns! Let me know if you have any questions along the way.
Not much to say tonight. I ended up not mounting the light fixture tonight, and I probably won't be able to until Thursday. That's okay though, as my 125W 2700k still hasn't arrived.
Numbers:
pH: 6.05
PPM...
Hi Kevin! Thanks for the compliments :). I'm glad it's interesting!
I don't plan on FIMming or topping. My impression is that any high-stress training doesn't really work on autoflower strains. With normal strains you would be able to wait in veg until the wounds created by these techniques...
