im using coco right now and never will go back to soil..... it grows fast, like hydro, but with the ease of soil. i am loving it! i use foxfarms growbig and superthrive.

That is a big ole rock... regarding the orientation..... are you keeping the plants the same direction under the light? I've heard to rotate the pots every once in a while, is this not important? is it more important to keep the relative positions? looks great so far......

Big bucket of small lego's works well, does not hold any water so good for hydro constant drip. Lego's? yep legos from walmart! always funny to see peoples faces when they notice....... Alot of teachers use legos when teaching youngsters about different farming and gardening techniques.

I use hydrofarms coco and love it, mine looks like coffee grounds with strands in it. my buddy thought it was soil until i explained it to them. BTW i dont mix anything with my coco, 100% coco and loving it.

Looks like you ph is out of balance, you'll get twisting warping leaves as well as mutated looking leaves. I've been through it and one of mine still has those exact leaves on the older growth, the new growth came in good once i figured out my ph. you should be good to go once you correct your...

if your using small pots you need to "pot up" increase the size of the pots as you go, the roots will take up all your space, also if you pot up like that your root ball will be way healthier. looking at your pics i dont know if the root mass was being restricted, kinda small to have filled...

yep, i switched to a 150 hps from 460actual watts of cfl's.... now they are growing much faster and the bill is alot lower...... i found the other day a led light that will replace the 150 watt hps and uses 15 watts. been doing research and from what i understand led's are excellent for the veg...
