Quick question for the show..... What's the worst/dumbest mistake you've encountered over your years if growing.
All of us that have been at this for a while have made their share of mistakes .. I wrote a soil recipe wrong and put in 12 cups if bloodmeal instead of 2. Every plant I...
Thanks, im glad you found it too.The community giving their input is what the thread is all about.
Just popped a few more beans:
TGA/Subcool Querkle 5/5
DNA Genetics Sour Cream 1/1
Thats great shotrocker. You got me beat by 20 years, :-)
Ive been at this for a while and am a caregiver now. If theres anything ive learned in 2 decades at this it is: Be patient and observant.
Growing real good MMJ takes a little bit of learning and some trial and error. Finding what works...
Yeah, I can now actually vouch for that too.
I have a much bigger medical grow and live in New England. I can pump in cold air during the winter months. If your plants have genetics that are purple/black the cold will definitely bring it out quicker and they will be darker.
I remember Subcool...
I dont think its really fair or credible to judge a strain or a breeder from a single seed.
To really get a grasp on a strain you gotta run a few plants and see the different phenotypes/variations in the strain. Always sucks when you get a loser though.
I had the actual opposite happen. Got 1...
I think he used that link just to show the insane prices on DN gear.
I shop there, I can get beans from multiple breeders in one stop; with only 1 shipping charge
Gotta agree, the OP mentioned some breeders like TGA that are top notch IMHO.
Doggies Nuts is way too expensive IMHO. is the quality really gonna be that much better than say TGA's stuff? Dont think so.
At that price, the plants better harvest themselves and then hop into my bong and light itself.
OK then, yes it can be done. I have done it a few times. ONLY when I had clones rooted that coiuldnt fit into the flowering room in their own containers. I've been growing a strain for a bit in my perpetual grow. Im getting rid of the strain and put the last 4 clones into 2 containers, so each...
Hey Chad,
If you've grown outdoors in Maine before you already understand the challenges here w/ the wet fall season and the early frosts we get some seasons. I cant give you any help on specific strains from Sub, I do have Querkle and Plushberry seedlings going though in preparation for this...
I've grown out the Pure AK and the Bubbkegummer.
The AK is still in my grow after a year or so. I got 1 pheno that was very fruity and dank. The others were good plants this one was just a cut above. A favorite of my patients, very potent and a newbie could get devastated by the buzz. Very much...
Np man, and merry XMas to you as well.
Remember this, its just like growing in the idea that if youre patient and do things properly you will be rewarded in the end.
Im an "old" man, Im an 80's child. Ahh yeah, the good old 80's when Coke was EVERYWHERE and pretty good quality.
As an "old" man, i can tell ya from firsthand experience to be careful. Its very easy to get chewed up before you know it with that shit. I probably put a Ferrari up my beak during...
If you dont have a scope to check the trichomes an old timers taught me a trick years ago. If you look at the main cola/colas they will start to harden up and flatten a little bit on the very top of the cola. Once that happens youre all set.
Ive used this technique and double checked with a...
Exactly how I do it, been doing it that way for quite some time now and it works best for me.
I think its the most overlooked step by most growers. A bad dry and a bad cure can sure ruin what was very good buds.
You might run into issues w/ your canopy height using Hid lighting like a 150 watt Hps. You're probably gonna have flowers REAL close to the bulb. Have you considered using LED?
I've have used/still own different size HPS and a 240 watt LED. A decent LED that size runs way cooler than a 150...
My only firsthand experience is from samples of a few of his strains. I tried 4 and each was A+ quality in taste, smell and overall quality.
I'm a licensed caregiver and now have Querkle, Plushberry and Apollo 13 seeds going. Also getting cuts of Pandoras Box, Vortex and Dairy Queen.....so yeah...
If you want ease of use then soil is the way to go.
With soil there are no pumps that can fail like in hydro/aero. Also in hydro/aero any problem is faster to develop than in soil. Soil is much more forgiving for the novice grower.
