Pics taken 10-25-10 Ok heres what has gone on in the past 7 days. I decided due to the size of the plants I should start the flowering process. I gave all the plants a good flushing with H2O only. Then almost 36 hours of darkness (they did stretch a little but not much) Changed from MH to HPS...

I have read several books that say you should let the plant stay in the dark for 24-36 hours........as to promote faster flowering, but none of the books really say in detail why? I dont think it really matters, but I will give it a try on my next flip. I have been vegging some Barneys Farms LSD...

These are in my GL80 Growlab tent. 400W MH or HPS. 3 gallon pots, Fox Farms Soil and fertilizers. Three of these are Barneys Farm LSD Fem (top right and left and bottom right) The other two are just some bag seed. Plants are in beginning thier 5th week of Veg.

Update for the week. Took these pics today (10-18-10) Everything seems to be going as planned. The plants are 15" tall and very bushy. I still have some small discoloration on some of the fan leaves (see pic) not sure what is from or what the issue might be as the rest of the plants looks great...

I am in the midwest as well, I just harvested my outdoor plants. I did use a scope to check the trichomes and they were all milky white with some being amber. From your pics I dont really think its going to matter, The one plant seems to have some bud, but the other I can only see one small...

Update, Everything is going great. These are my 3 Barneys Farm LSD., they were germinated on 9-13-10...so they are about 21 days old:) Fox Farm Ocean soil, ph6.8 I have yet to give them any nuites...I might start a low dose of grow big and big bloom in a week or so. I plan on starting flowering...
