Yes that will work.

Just place frozen water bottle into the reservoir and replace every 12 hours when you check on the plants... I do this and it keeps my temps in check. If you want to build a cooling system I have posted something up before but never saved it do a search for DIY Cooler? Heck I have no clue lol

20 L ~ 5GA I use 5" bucket lids but only put in 16L or 4GA of nutrients and have great success... I have used 3" net cups before and grown the girls out 5' tall so long story short get whatever size you want I'd go with a bucket lid if I was using buckets but if your building your own 3.5"-4"...
