That's algae. I've never had a problem with having algae but I always take the top layer of the soil off and put in a new layer. It's because of over-watering mostly. Water sits for too long in the pot with the light hitting it. Always let the soil dry before you feed it again!

I read on the manufacturers recommendations the lights should be in a temperature of 75 and below to have 100% power from the lights. Anything higher reduces the amount of light emmitted from each diode. I don't know if this is an actual fact or fiction.

Hey gboy, you are slightly limited with two grand and in hopes of achieving 10lbs every two to three months. If you were to do an outdoor grow, 2grand could take you very far, but indoor gardening is expensive if you are going for yields. You should start small, like a pound every two months...

Here is day 26 of my void plant from seed. I saw someone ask what a topped 12/12 seed looks like when finishing. I topped this day 20, and now 4 new budsites are popping out. Compared to the other 12/12 seeds, this one seems to be much more bushier and I will be able to clone it in a week or so...

Sometimes, more plants is worst. Ask anyone who's had to deal with mold or mildew. Have as much surface area of soil as you can, and put 4 2 gallon pots in. You'll thank yourself later.

In my own experience so far, use a 1, if not a two gallon container per seed.
