1-2 weeks before harvest with ph adjust water. or you could go with florakleen or some other flushing product and go by what it says on the bottle.

I got a RO/DI system for under 100$, took city water that was at 220 ppm down to 0-1 ppm KMD eCommerce Crop. I ordered it off ebay, I thought it was way to cheap to work good but I've been running it non-stop for a month now and the water ppm is still between 0-1 ppm.

I've used a 100$ gift card to purchase my seeds with no problems.

With hydroton I think flooding for 15 mins every 3 1/2 - 4 hours works good. Only flood when the lights are on of course.

I recommend HTG supply as well. He ran out of his 600w digital systems and offered a free hps bulb with the hps it comes with. I e-mailed him about changing the free hps bulb to a mh bulb and he said "no problem" . Highly recommend.
