Thanks for the input.
Can I repeat myself once again.
I'm not in the market to buy Blumat or any commercial product.
In doing a green grow. Organic food, and out of the pushy salesman commercial loop.
Pretty condescending and borderline judgmental.
I'm never going to be anyone's customer...
Greetz from Africa
Hi folks
My first legal grow ... our local laws have recently changed
My first grow in 10 years ... I've been a bit of a slack b*st*rd
My first totally organic grow ... going with a living soil outdoor grow
I'm actively looking for advice and suggestions
Am I missing...
Thanks for the welcome guys

Thanks ...
I've gone with a combination of reading & research and my past experience with cannabis & psilocybin...
M'kay then ...
... let's settle down a bit with the bun fight shall we ?
So I just read up briefly on Blumat
Frankly, I'm not the one to buy commercial products.
( I'm a beg, borrower, or a do it myselfer )
But here's 30 seconds worth of google search cut & paste research...
1 cubic centimetre
= 1 millilitre
1 millilitre of water
= 1 gram

1,000 cubic centimetres
= 1,000 millilitres

1,000 grams
= 1 kilogram
1,000 grams of water
= 1 litre of water

That ... and...
Cannabis grower gallons
:P
That's as much as I am prepared to say.
Footnote
If I grew up and schooled in the US ... and had been taught ounces pounds gallons inches feet Fahrenheit ...
... I would head back to my school ... and punch my science teacher.
Sixty four sixteenths times ... just...
So bottom line is ...
When I see folks talking about (very) general rules of thumb like:
one foot of plant per gallon of pot
half an ounce yield per gallon of pot
I'm going to think of my 25 litre pots as 6.5 gallons
Thanks all for your comments and input

Hi Grow Buds
Mid 50's holistic thinker ... always looking at the bigger picture ... always trying to play connect the dots.
A bit of a crazy experimentalist ... still living life and exploring like a curious 12 year old.
A day without learning is a day wasted
First grow in over 10 years ...
It appears to be a case of:
The more you read up ... the less you seem to understand.

In the interests of clarity then ... here's my actual question behind my question.
I've bought 8 of these:
- food grade
- 25 litre total capacity
So would a typical grow post would...

My Question
With regard to how plant roots develop in size and bulk and density ... according to how poorly or how well nourished their soil is ...
Do poorly nourished roots grow more thickly & quickly in the search for more nutrients ?
- or -
Does a well nourished root system grow...
Thanks @GeneBanker
That would seem to make logical sense to me too ...
:D
... seeing as most sites and growers are US based
But then again ...
:wall:
... logic and pre-metric era measurement systems are not always compatible
Greetz Growers
I'm in South Africa where we use the Metric System of standard units of measure.
I'm seeing gallon to litre conversions all over on web sites and grow forums where:
Half the people convert as:
1 gallon = 3.785 litres
US liquid gallon
And the other 8/16ths convert as:
1...
