Gee, charbroil, you should do your research before claiming this is bad advice,, everything I said coincides with proven, professional methods of capping off wires. If you don't believe me then you can just do a google search and see for yourself. Let the big boys talk about something critical...
Ok, thanks for that advice from a REAL qualified Electrician. but most poepkle don't have
It does not matter if alot of people have live wires in their room,, if 2-3 people saw this post then recognized live wires and put their gloves on then is relevant post wouldn't you agree? probably not...
I don't know if you can read that well or not, guy.. But I couldn't possibly have made my point any clearer, guy .. if you cant understand that you might as well jump off a bridge lol JK. But the point (if your literate) people should now be able to identify live wires by their color and how to...
Because rubber gloves and insoles will negate the electrical current rather than conduct it, giving you enough cushion to test the wire and see if its live
Heres an idea: buy a cheap waterpump you can get at any petco, put it on a timer
-run a hose from the pump the length of the plants
-Also put the light on a timer, preferably digital..
Yeah if its hydro, make the return line goes all the way into the reservoir, that way it wont drip.
-Also wall mount ballasts first on a piece of cardboard, also you can add rubber to the corners so it wont buzz as loud
-193 is my first attempt at a real cfl grow
-hydro 4 are when I started hydro for the first time , hydro 5 is the drain gutter I created
-Hydro 6 and nlxHaze1 are
the last one(10557) is my latest grow- in progress in which ill be doing soil.. I look forward to see how my grow turns out
Interesting point but I still disagree that 2 600's isn't enough light.. I had this similar-spaced grow w/ the same lighting that had had no sign of stringy or fluffyness
-Like here:
-here,here:
-Like I said the reflector adds light by reflecting light back to the plants that otherwise would have been absorbed by non reflective material.- Also, I disagree that you need 15k lumens to have decent bud You have to factor in the strain when considering the amount of lumens needed,,-Ive had...
Something alotta growers may have in their room but overlooked is Open Electrical Wires. In order to properly deal w/ this potential safety hazard is this:
-Identify the live wires. typically live wires are red or black.
-You can test to see if its live with two pairs of rubber gloves, and...
Thanks for illustrating my point those reflectors are similar to the ones Im currently using, that being said 5x5 area of light coverage is assuming theres no reflective material.. can add up to 30% more lumens -(due to light being refracted towards the plants rather than wasted on...
Well I think that a situation like that where your dealing w/ a fusebox and electrical wires is, get a qualified electrician to identify a safe spot to drill.. just don't have anything there related to a weed grow. (like a 600w light, mylar etc.
No,no,no the light footprint of the 600w is mainly determined by the type of reflector used, a wing reflector can be adjusted to cover more area than a fixed. This Thus gives me a larger footprint.
No sh*t yea I heard good things about dwc but i had nlxHaze plants that grow so vigorously they drink about a gallon each per day. ..but now im going to be dirt farming and sacrifice overall vigorous growth (hydro) for # of plants growing soil you can grow 5x as many plants per day.
-my space is...

This is the setup I used.
well its a 15 x 10ft space so I think that 2 600w lights wont be overkill but as far as lumens are concerned the more the better. the lamps im looking at put out about 80k lumens each x2 would be around 160k
