I'm not claiming to be an expert but unless u think you really know what your doing on a chemical level even with organic pgrs. Which I doubt you do. I'd just stay away from them.

sounds like you have an unfinished basement that needs to be sealed up. The outside environment is seeping in! to answer your question no your humidity will not be permanently stuck at 55%
not to mention the legal "Craft" stuff i tried the other day that smells like hay :wall:

I've had 100% success using that method and can't say I've had as good of luck skipping the paper towel. Not saying it can't be done but that works good enough for me that I have no reason not to keep doing it.
