Should take you about 2 years to get it dialed.
Ask me how I know.
Thank you very much!
Being the disciplined obsessive compulsive type, the way I got to the 315 agro, was through having someone post the spectrum, (Rives)
after I had researched plant biology (Thank you SDS) and Leds. (Thanks go out to Knna and the gang.)
But not in that order.
So I just...
I run a perpetual sog, monthly harvests in 4" rockwool blocks, ala Al B. Fuct.
Plants end up being about 20" tall.
I grow budsicles, so I'm very concerned with plant photomorphology!
My progression went 1000 HPS > 600HPS finish with party leds for the first 30 days > 600HPS finish with...
Looks beautiful, the picture of health!!
Very nice.
I'm getting some of the same thing that you are with the petiole elongation. (long leaf stems)
Stardustsailor????
No, being a lazy stoner it took an act of congress to just build the thing through stream of consciousness and readily available parts.
I just buy the meanwell drivers and rest assured that they put in appropriate protection.
No need to reinvent the wheel.
For $30.00 there is no way that...
No VAT here. LOL.
Out of rapidled.com, certainly < $3.00 a watt.
My first one came out at a little over $2 a watt and the second one a little less, but I did have some stuff left over from the first.
Cree XM-L's and XP-G's passive cooling and Meanwell drivers. all good stuff.
Expert/Pro, and "best" are subjective terms.......
The first thing is to get a bit of history on how the technology progressed.
Google "Knna" and "Discussion of the pragmatic application of LED's"
Once you've gotten familiar with the above information, search this forum and go through...
Psuagro is mostly correct.
They are not particularly efficient. (far worse than a HPS)
Right from the specs on the web site....... (BTU's produced VS HPS, per watt)
The price is not so good!!
But.....the spectrum from the pic looks promising.
I don't know if it's because somebody...
The price will be high compared to HPS. Less than high quality premade led luminaires.
Due to the agreement I made with them, I cannot post too much until the first complete run is done and is reported back.
