I've seen and used the aluminum plate in the middle before. It creates an extra step and you'll use a bit more thermal adhesive paste but it seemed to work fine. I've actually got a 4'x4' sheet in my garage waiting for the next custom build.
I put standard extruded heatsinks on the back though.
Then 2 would work but it still wouldn't be 2800ma. That's a constant current driver, putting off 1400ma throughout the voltage range.
The Bridgelux V22 would probably be a better choice if you plan on pushing hard.
For a perpetual grow using 2 flowering cabinets with a combined area of about 7 square feet, I veg in 2 spacebuckets then transfer the month old plants into the cabinets. I try to constantly have 2 in veg and 4 in flower. Sometimes flowering times are longer and something gets a week or 2 of...
60x60 is 25 square feet. 600÷25=24 so you're theoretically pushing 24 watts per square foot. But, the blurple lights are actually using, at most, 180 watts each and normally closer to 135. So 360÷25=14.4 watts per square foot at best and a little over 10 at worst.
Personally, I run around 40-50...
Buds don't photosynthesize and therefore don't need light. A few of your top leaves could be near tge point of light saturation. Removing or just moving them so lower LEAVES can get more light is what you want. Light has actually been proven to degrade THC so you want your buds to be hidden in...
The Galaxy Hydro lights have the IR and UV diodes. I actually just junked my perferctly functional blurple boards in favor of the COB conversion.
Converting one of your lights to a decent COB panel could cost as little as 100 bucks. I'd put the funds towards a conversion myself.
Blurple lights...
The photo was a 6 week veg. Flowering for 9 weeks starting right after the last pinch, so 15 weeks for the photo.
A random auto from the Budha seeds mix took just under 11 weeks to finish. It took up a little over a square foot in my estimation.
I've been contemplating doing a sea of green...
My
Just weighed today. My last auto yielded 21.2 grams dry. My last photo yielded 184.4 grams dry. This has been the trend for me. Maybe it's because I mainline my photos out to 16 tops and let the photos do their own thing? Autos have been a consistent disappointment.
Yep, directly into the 5 gallon bucket. Same lights, water, everything else is the same. In my estimation, that 26 ounce plant was a freak of nature, not the rule.
In my cabinets, I can't get an auto to pull more than about 2 ounces. Waste of space for me when I can get 3 times that from a photo. Are autos good outdoors? Or should I put them close to each other and burn through my auto seeds indoors?
Autos never really impressed me. Especially not when...
Can autos be planted out a bit earlier due to their background genetics? I'm at about the 45th, 46th parallel and I'm about to pop a few gorilla grow plants.
I picked up a cheap amazon meter and it works great for my use. Probably not very accurate, but it's repeatability is pretty good so it's accurate to itself.
Leaves contain something like 20 times the chlorophyll as buds. Buds could be considered the fruits, like an apple. Apples don't...
