High guys?----thanks for responding,
Alpha-----I'm envious about where you stays now. In my case in NC I just didn't know how strict this probation thing was going to be-----and no way---no names!
Budley------sounds like you're an old pothead like myself----only 11 months till SS starts...
I've never grown in soil, but have smoked lots of soil grown----some tasted great, some tasted terrible.
Same with hydro---some great, some terrible. Terrible usually resulting from running insanely high ppms.
My one experiment with organics in water culture-----had to adjust ph daily even in...
I was offered a plea bargain ----all I had to do was give up names and do 5 years probation.
Become a rat and give up weed and beer for 5 years-----couldn't do that.
Actually, prison (minimum custody) wasn't that terrible. Don't get me wrong----not somewhere I want to go on vacation. I got...
Hey tty,
Professional job doors closed? After prison I was turned down for an $8/hr job at winn-dixie because of my record.
Luckily, I got a job as an electrical. Told my boss I had a felony upfront. He informed me if he rejected applicants because of that and started drug testing------he...
Well----just think about how much fun you're having (I assume). Fun for me anyway.
If I understand correctly your space limitations (no separate veg room)? What you're doing is a good way to maximize your space. If interested, check out the link in my sig-----may give you some ideas.
I...
Hey S,
Always good to hear from you-----hope you and your garden are doing well.
You're right, those light numbers I threw out are rough taken with my light meter.
I've come to the conclusion that growing vertically or the way HDS is or the tunnel design DOES NOT increase the gram per watt...
Thank you for those flattering comments ----especially coming from someone with your credentials
Care to explain more specifically what you specialize in?
In a previous life I worked (23 years) for a company with deep pockets in R&D-----I enjoyed designing products.
Then I accepted a...
Interesting thread.
It's a gamble (way I see it). Money and time wasted-----or not----how could that course benefit you?
If legit? How could that experience (even at low wages) benefit you-----what you could learn about that size operation?
Good luck with the dice,
A~~~
I agree about the pain in the arse thing for ducting and glass-----with glass about a 2" reduction of light intensity (FCs).
I've run 6K flowering and had to air cool-----mega ac not an option.
I didn't know the DEs had been around that long----(something everyday).
Yea, from what I read...
Great info from an actual user! I think that info should be a sticky.
Are you saying they can't / shouldn't be air cooled and the room cooled by air conditioning?
Thanks much,
A~~~
Well said:clap:
Question about DE lights-----was reading about them-----said not intended for indoors because of heat (which they need to run hot).
Think you mentioned you use them? If so, has that been a problem for you?

Some examples of hoods:

A lot of hoods can be modified to add vents. Can a glass be added to your hood? Pic of hood?
79-81 should be ok for now-----but how much vertical space do you have for later on?
A~~~
Hey HDS,
Glad you completed the octagon
What was the final weight from your last run?
If you can stand the heat-----I suggest two 1Ks instead of two 600s and here's why:
A 1K without a reflector is ~ 600 with reflector. A 600 without a reflector ~400 with reflector.
