With coco the only problem were a few nutrient deficiency's but other than that coco is great.. But it has no nutrients so you must feed often As for as perlite or vermiculite.. i use both but perlite seems to work the best that and it stands out from the soil..and is good for drainage.. but...

take a small pencil and poke small holes into the soil (not near the roots)

I think it would have flowered earlier than that.... Im growing northern lights which is also an auto flower..... I have heard that 18/6 is the best light cycle for auto flowers...... there have also been cases where the grower has to switch to 12/12 briefly to start the flowering stage Gluck
