Has anyone heard any news from Health Canada lately? It seems they have been quite quiet on the MMPR. Has anyone heard of an LP being close to getting their license?

Did anyone here attend the Greenline convention on the weekend? It was very informative and roughly 200 potential LP's were there.

I am very unsure about that. I know it is hard to get a straight answer from Health Canada but a dwelling is generally zoned as such and to change the zoning of the building to agricultural use or commercial use would require a zoning amendment in most areas. I think you would need to clear...

Our application number is in the 30's and we have not yet been contacted for inspection. Hoping that will happen very soon. I also agree with Kootenaygirl, where is Maximum? Has anyone PM'd him?

I am pretty sure many are applying with an agricultural property that has a house on it. As long as no growing occurs within the dwelling, my interpretation is that it would be acceptable. A proper building or greenhouse would be suitable, as long as all the security measures are in place...

Hi Mike: In our area, R zoning often means residential. I think that may not work. Not sure at all but I would call Health Canada and find out before you buy. You may need either a C for commercial or A for agriculture zoning. Please let us all know how this works out. Thanks

I am quite certain that you can live on an agricultural property and grow under the MMPR, it just hast to be in a different building. You cannot grow in a dwelling.

Yesterday we heard from Health Canada that our application has now "moved to the review stage". Not sure what that means but at least I hope it means it was complete. Does anyone have a timeline of when they think they could finally sell their first gram under the new MMPR? I doubt anyone...

Well, we are lucky to have great people involved. It is our intent for 2 of us to be full time as soon as we receive the go ahead from Health Canada. Our projection is that we will need 4-6 more full time people by March 31, 2014. We can't really do much more until we hear from Health Canada...

Yes R.Raider, in our application, we had to include the information for our Q.A. person. We are fortunate to have a board member that has experience in quality testing and quality control. Through telephone conversations with Health Canada, we learned that there is no specific qualifications...

Just want to say hi and join in on this thread. Our small company submitted our LP application about a month ago. We have received a file number from Health Canada and have supplied all the info that Health Canada asked for. We are now just waiting to see what the next response from Health...

Our company was also in the process of acquiring an R&D permit when the MMPR became official. We also chose to decline further progress into the R&D and submitted our application to become an LP in August. Now the wait continues......
