A question regarding flowering and immature plants.

Yeah, my previous grow, using similar specs but 1.5 months of vegetation the sex was shown on the 5 - 8 day range and buds were already getting to a point on the 22th day of flowering. :P So I guess this is what matters, but hearing it from an expert will calm my tits brainstorming for possible...

A question regarding flowering and immature plants.

Howdy folks, as the title says, I'm doing a very experimental grow and here's a slight concern of mine which I want to share and get your opinions for! Here's the deal, I'm growing 4 plants, 2 x Blueberry X Lemon Haze X Skunk 1, 1x Sour Diesel X Skunk 1 and 1x Purple Haze. I'm using soil, not...

600 WATT 5X STRAWBERRY BLUE ORGANIC SCROG

I beg your pardon lady! And I see, I'm mostly curious about the light as I'll be growing with a cheap mixture of 400W MH - 32 k Lumens and for flowering I'll be using my 5 hours of direct super strong sunlight when it'll be present in conjunction with 2 CFLs of 844 Lumens, 32 W, 6500K and the...

600 WATT 5X STRAWBERRY BLUE ORGANIC SCROG

Woah man ... Amazing grow so far! I'm currently growing some Blueberry. :) I'll be sure to stick with yours! It always helps with the patience to see other people's journals and dream about yours in the upcoming weeks :P. I've been wondering, all this goodness just under a singular 600W HPS? I...

Cheap, Experimental grow - 400W MH, 2x27W CFL (6500K), soil

Hello there fellow growers! This is my third grow in total and my first serious grow in which I am equipped with some fine tools and devices! I'm very excited about it and I'm hoping to have a great time with the people in rollitup.org. I plan on keeping frequent updates and doing an experiment...

CAP ebb&Flow using the Lucas formula | Only 3 pots with 400 Watts

MuckyDucky, I got these from a friend, I think the three unknown plants I'm growing are indica dominant, they keep very compact comparing to my others. I guess it's the world's influence of Sativa high-heads in comparison to couch-lockers. And yeah, I'm hoping to have some spare buck to perhaps...

CAP ebb&Flow using the Lucas formula | Only 3 pots with 400 Watts

Soil, it's unmetered one from the back yard of a friend. My 400W MH has a magnetic ballast which I'm yet tweaking to my liking, it's some ancient stuff. I don't even yet have a grow tent, 'cause everything ran on me very rapidly and unexpectedly, I ended up not so prepared. Nonetheless today I'm...

CAP ebb&Flow using the Lucas formula | Only 3 pots with 400 Watts

That's great! Keep us posted! I'm also just starting a 400W MH grow, I'm gonna use it for flower time as well. Maybe even add an UV light.

    Metal Halide questions.

Breaking new discovery, as I moved through further tests it appears that the capacitor, even though partially damaged in the coat is working all but fine, the old igniter is also working fine, even though it heats up to about 100 degrees, it's built to withstand 130 degrees Celsius. The...

    Metal Halide questions.

Looks just custom and great to me, Greenhouse;sav! I also customized mine, I'm about to only work on the noisy part, the whole lamp is still vibrating under pressure, the bulb wasn't screwed properly by the old owners so I also fixed that, but the issue with the vibrating noise is rather 'cause...

    Metal Halide questions.

Soo, in the morning I actually investigated the ballast furthermore, appears voltages and amps are all fine, the only issue was that this capacitor is not built to be nearby the heating igniter, which in fact produced all the issues in the first place! What I did was extract the capacitor to a...

    Metal Halide questions.

The current question ... Can I do anything with that current shit I got? I think I can make it last longer if I separate the parts so they don't conduct heat to each other, or at least not in that vital degrees. Ooookay after research, the igniter is designed to be able to run at even 130...

    Metal Halide questions.

OH MY GOD ... The igniter (electrostart) is still hot after 2 hours and a half of no usage. Looks like the igniter runs WAY TOO HOT but the capacitor is not swollen and it is only partially burned by the igniter ... If they are separated I think it could last until I can afford a new capacitor...

    Metal Halide questions.

Absolutely, I appreciate all the input and effort guys, this is what I'm trying to understand, is it safe or not. :) So, let shit get interesting, checking for swollen capacitors, will take pics and upload them! About that crystal thing which is cancerogenic, I didn't got any of it. xD

    Metal Halide questions.

Chuck! Well Estevez, not Norris, pretty much what I am honestly thinking and hoping ... I know this is ancient, but still, my plants just love it. I'm about to make a journal and this lamp is crucial to my whole life in the next year! From what I understand, it's not as bad and not as old yet...

    Metal Halide questions.

You got me scared sir ... Any easier way I can control the low power factor operation and high current so it stops over heating? If that be the case ... Though the ballast is fairly colder than is the tops of the reflector. Also there's no signs of burns or char anywhere on the whole lamp. I...

    Metal Halide questions.

I found what bulb I have!!! http://catalog.gelighting.com/lamp/high-intensity-discharge/metal-halide-lamps/f=kolorarc-tubular-clear/p=178074 Vostok, it is a gift, I don't have no spare bulb and nothing else but this, I'm just a poor grower! Coloration of the arc tube seems regular for this...

    Metal Halide questions.

Of course, mate I appreciate your super quick response! We can surely drop off the startup issue now. :) It was actually my biggest concern as I read that flickering does indicate end of life cycle but I was confused how exactly they imply it. Though the behavior I witnessed seemed normal even...
