Has anyone heard of any inspections being done? I know that Health Canada sent out a few "Confirmation email prior to inspection" letters in February, but as far as I can see, none of these actually got their inspections. Does anyone have any news out there.....

I actually do think it will change. Just not very fast..... Nursing is a much more holistic practice than medicine is. Herbal and natural preparations are generally more accepted in the nursing field than by most physicians. I do have friends that work for the CNO but changes occur very slowly...

I am a nurse in Ontario. Nurse Practitioners are governed by the CNO College of Nurses of Ontario, they are not currently able to write a prescription for marijuana.

As far as I know, there is no way to get starting material from a DG, PPL or ATP since April 1, 2014. If anyone has any information on this topic, I would love your input. To adam@ac: Who did you discuss this with at the end of March? Was it Health Canada?

You may want to look into this. The MMAR was NOT extended, just the ability for current DG and PPL to continue to produce their own medicine and to posses up to 150 grams.. The MMAR is GONE. Only the MMPR exists now and the ability to purchase from a ATP or PPL is over.

Very good points but I must add that there is currently no legal source for seeds or clones, after April 1, 2014, for an LP to start with. They must either obtain seeds from Health Canada (PPS) or try to get an import license, good luck on that one. The only other legal source is buying clones...

I agree with your distinction of medicine vs. recreation, but....... many medications, ever prescribed ones, are not covered for many people. I have no drug coverage, I pay for all my medications. All taxpayers pay for medications for people that are on assistance. If I had group benefits...

How do you mean it took Tweed 8 months? The earliest they could have submitted an application was June 19, 2013 and they were licensed in December, 2013, just six months!
