Mars Hydro are not a fair LED comparisson. Those LEDS are old, and frankly horrible. They advertise themselves as 300 watt lights when they're really 130 watt lights. They're only good as small veg lights. And their spectrum is blurple. And if your choice is between an HPS / MH & 400 / 600W go...

do you have an ec/ppm meter? if so, soak them in water and check the runoff, if it's more than slightly higher than what your water is then you need to wash them

strain dependant tbh, just make sure they're not too close together. ideally you'd like to fill up your whole tent with vegetation... whether it comes from 1 pot or 8 pots

if you're running autos just grow them all together since the light cycle doesn't matter. you should be able to net 2lb with a single 1000 watt hid if you're a good grower, but if you wanna play it safe, you could do a 600W hid for one 4x4 space and use it for veg, and a 1000W for the 4x4...

those changes alone should help with your problems, give it a couple days man

they're not rotting, they're drying up... I'd try making the watering cycle much more frequent... twice a day is clearly not cutting it

your plant looks completely fine, if you want it to to perk up, you need to get it all dialed in: humidity light levels temperature nutrients

As long as you're consuming 1500 Watts or less (80% of max output) you should be fine.

i've found that it's much better if you keep PPM constant during the entire grow (that includes seedling stage)

what about the 6 feet tent? do you have many plants getting close to the lights on that one? my biggest tent is actually 6 feet tall and i'm worried about height... so i've been planing on some hardcore bending

I really like this method If i understand correctly, you're basically specializing your space, using one space to veg whatever, and another constantly running 12/12 just for flowers... And instead of putting them in all together, just wait enough so you can harvest every few weeks or so...

that's quite the tiny grow tent man... try using much smaller pots and spreading the plant count, see how that works out for ya

A 400 W hps/ms will be subpar for a tent that size. Either go for 600 watt HID, or 350W-400W of DIY high efficiency LED grow lights... You can check the indoor LED lighting section for plenty of examples... The Strip builds are really hot right now.
