Whats your budget? I would avoid CXA3070 as they run a little high on voltage. CXB3070 are 36v and will allow you to put 4 on a HLG185-1400 driver. If you have the budget, CXB3590 will give you better efficiency than the 3070. If you have an $800 budget, you can build 2x CXB3590 setups (8...

If you have a choice, I would go with 3000k flower light, and 5000k veg. If you need a hybrid setup, go with 4000k or a 3000k/5000k on the same panel.

I wouldnt go with 4000k for Veg. If its a veg only light, go 5000k. If you want a light that is used for both, 4000k would probably be your best bet. Depending upon your needs, you could build a light with 8 cobs on it, run 4 @ 3000k for flower and 4 @ 5000k and just switch them on/off...

LCN200WT Did you purchase one of those drivers? If so from where? There is no way to purchased from the site that sells them. I checked alibaba and ebay, hell even google comes up with next to nothing.

That does not tell us much... How much are they with shipping? Meanwell drivers range from $51-90 for the HLG185 series depending upon stock and purchase location. Could help us all if they turn out to get as good as you say and make things much cheaper for us all.

Hydroponics Hut New 750 Grow Pro LED

Without testing the true wattage draw, how do we determine whether the light is worth the cost? It claims 700w power draw. If it does well, I would expect an output of 1.25g/w or more. So when he yields somewhere around 300g and we are expecting 900g roughly, it will tell us the light blows...

Hydroponics Hut New 750 Grow Pro LED

Since he has treated you like a friend, has he been up front with what this light utilizes for drivers, cobs, and the true wattage and efficiency? Would stand a chance that if Ben is a great guy like you say, he would have informed you of this. If he did not, and you took the light as a...

Hydroponics Hut New 750 Grow Pro LED

Power Consumption: 700w (full illumination mode) 10 x high power 60 watt COB chips for maximum overall coverage. Wow... That is some amazing technology. 700w power consumption with only 600w of available output. Either complete lies or the most inefficient light ever produce. I would highly...

Well, at least they are using good stuff. Still, 156w for over $800? Fucking stupid.

Why do some guys wats to still use mono led with cobs?

Apache Tech, leading the way with their AT120 @ $859 for only 156w power draw using god knows what components.

Why do some guys wats to still use mono led with cobs?

Thats what I keep wondering. All these pro-mono people yet the majority have transitioned to cobs and trashed all the mono LED panel companies.

Why do some guys wats to still use mono led with cobs?

My plants agreed that COBS were better than HPS :/ HPS has been the "goto" lighting for how long? Works for me.... I tried (stupidly like many of us) a PlatinumLED light with individual and it was trash (compared to HPS). That was enough of the mono led for me to say fuck them, even if the...

Well, it was a good bit hotter near the cobs. That 43c was towards the center and while fail safe it would be fine still I fully believe, I would not want to run it daily like that. With the infrared sensor I have, its a pain in the ass on the lights. It does not pick up the aluminum...

Well just as reference, I tested my 2 lights. I typically run them with a 240mm fan http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MegaFlow-200-Computer/dp/B008G3OLRQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447008745&sr=8-1&keywords=240mm fan and they stay cool to the touch. They are 18x10 (10" profile) from HeatsinkUSA...

Yeah, I understand the shipping cost which I have no problem with... Didnt understand the 4.5% paypal fee... No worries, still good prices.

Not worried about the shipping, just the 4.5% paypal fee I thought was a little weird. Drivers, even with shipping, is cheaper than anywhere else unless you are just buying 1 or 2. You may find them stateside for the same price @ 1 or 2 pieces with shipping.

    Kingbrite Rocks

Damn... He is hitting me for 4.5% paypal fees. Is this normal? Shipping @ $60 with 3 drivers + 12 cobs.

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

For some reason, I am just not grasping the concept of what is needed in a heatsink. I am trying to figure out passive cooling for my next build. I have a feeling I am missing something. What exactly is the formula to figure this out? I will be utilizing CXB3590 running @ 50w each, 56%...
