How long to fill a SCROG?

I can fill 80% of a 4x4 w/ 4 plants in a month in soil with a 1000 watt. I dim mine starting at 50% then 75% then a full 1000watts by the time its 80% full though so I'm not wasting light.. so I'm gonna take a stab and say 4-5 wks

Vero 10 or 18 Height limited

Yeah thatd work too a bit more expensive... Would 73 watts really be too low for a 3ft area? especially if I plan to throw in some luxeon ES or Cree XML2? Ah thank you

Stop using those UVB reptile lights! Just use any regular CFL (spiral or t5 doesnt matter) 6500k. Dont use warm whites 2700k for vegging.. save em for flowering. You can fim at 5 nodes or your own preference.

Vero 10 or 18 Height limited

Hmm so what do you guys think of running 8 4000k vero 10s at 350ma for a 2 x 1.5 x 3 (LWH) box? I'm going off this graph to justify the 4000K, anything else seems like a waste and I can always throw in some Deep red and royal blue? 4 plants tote DWC, thats why I was thinking 8 vero 10s for...

Which light should I start with?

I agree with red. forget the T5's if you want you can start off your seedling with those cheap CFL bulbs 6500K 23-46 watt or whatever and then start vegging with the 250w metal halide

    Cloning in water

Not sure what youre saying but Yes you're talkin about a bubble cloner. Air stones would definitely help, some people put super thrive or kelp extract in the water. It would help but it's not really needed if you have an air stone. Also helps if you can cover the clones with something to keep...
