    Platinum p300 grow

Well, put it this way. You have 5 P300 @ 180w draw which equals 900w of power being used. You can easily run 450-500w of QBs and get the same results with less heat (yes, you are producing just about as much heat as a 1000w HPS) which means less energy costs to cool the room. Again, nothing...

    Platinum p300 grow

I cannot say this enough.... Shitty lights can grow quality stuff, provided they cover the spectrum. PLED are not the best lights out there, pretty shitty really, but they will grow good stuff. I grew with them (P450) and grew high quality stuff. That does not mean they are not way...

    Platinum p300 grow

Well, you can grow with anything. Platinum LED were never good. Only as efficient as regular HPS at best. Basically, with a quality efficient COB setup, you can nearly cut your lighting in half for the same growth. Get a 50%+ efficient COB setup and you can cut your wattage by about 40%...

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

So, day 16 started. Looking good. One thing I noticed is more stretch on the 3000k lights. From my eyes, it looks as if the light spread on the 4000k is much better but again, I am not a plant. However, the 4000k is keeping a better level canopy and not stretching nearly as much. Good or...

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Sorry for delay on update. Had our 15 year anniversary so been MIA for a few days. Will get some pics tonight when they wake up.

    Led grow room temperature

Everyones situation/strain is different. There is no set temperature. Some plants like lower temps, some like higher. Humidity and airflow can change the "ideal" temp as well. That said, after about 2 years with COB growing, 85 is way high. I find that once the temp hits 80, its cause for...

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Cheap is good. Its all in what someone wants to do in the end. My first light, while at the time I felt was good, was a piece of shit! In the end, it does the job.

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Ok, sorry for the delay on update (although this early, its still kind of boring :) ). Still, the exceptional growth continues in the 3000k tent. Surprising really to see this large of a difference! Cant wait to see the end results on weight. Still getting good growth in the 4000k, nothing...

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Based on what I have seen so far, and keep in mind its early, but I would definitely pick up 3000k 90CRI. Honestly, I would get 3000k no matter what if its for flower only. I firmly believe that 3000k 80CRI will beat out 3500k 80CRI/4000k 80 CRI in a flower test. I would have to do more veg...

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Yeah, Ive been debating it. The issue is spread, but I may say fuck it. Currently running about 18-20" off canopy. Any lower, and outer edges are very limited. One of my biggest gripes with pre-built fixtures personally :) Framed cobs are killer in that respect!

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Still looking good. For less than a week into flower, they are really showing well. Temps are still in the mid to upper 70s in the day, about 68 at night. Better growth still in the 3000k tent by far.

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

So 2 days since the last picture. Quite a bit of growth. Plants are looking good and full in bud cycle. Still MUCH more growth in the 3000k tent than the 4000k. Whats crazy is that 90CRI brings the "white" out of the LED for sure. All of my 3000k 80CRI vs. 3500k 80CRI is quite obvious in...

Yield Per Square Foot, Mars/Viparspectra/CREE Cobs

Strain plays more part in yield than anything provided you give the plants a (close to) optimal setup. No light including the sun will turn a 300g/m2 plant into a 600g/m2 plant.

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Yeah, I dont have too many issues cleaning. Usually use some Clorox wipes and they do a great job of cleaning/disinfecting. Yes, the lights have dimmers and work great but veg time was very minimal with the lights.

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

Sorry for the lack of updates. Wanted to give the babies a week to adjust, ensure no shock, ect. I transplanted last Monday into larger pots (5 gallons). I initially planned for 4 plants per tent, but due to sizing I adjusted to 3 which will definitely be for the better I believe. I trimmed...

    Tasty LED 3000k 90CRI vs 4000k 80CRI grow log

So as @Rahz had posted, I will be testing (thanks Rahz!) the TLED T22 3000k 90CRI and the TLED T22 4000k 80CRI lamps. Both are found on the following pages (for specs). https://www.tastyled.com/Tasty-LED-T22-LED-grow-light-p/t22-3000-90.htm...

    Lack of stickyness

Way too early for flush IMO, but I dont do a true "flush" (I run soil too) and I dont do it 2 weeks out like peopel suggest. Looks good though.

    Lack of stickyness

Ive had some strains that are not as sticky as others. Just because its not as sticky does not mean its not potent or of high quality. I am just finishing up (back to the room in a minute) Ghost Train Haze and Holy Grail Kush and they are completely different. GTH is MUCH stickier than the...

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

Again... Wall draw and actual output are 2 different things. Take a multi-meter and test your actual COB chip. This will tell you what you are ACTUALLY outputting.

Again, check the COB for actual power output. A wall measurement means nothing. A driver can push more than stated but it doesnt necessarily mean that the chip is driving more.
