    Shortening flowering

Day 45/49... Another plant, I forget when I put it in (it's been a several days)... interesting thing - it's very early in flower and a few pistols are brown already:

    Shortening flowering

of note, if you're going to run short days, you probably want to up your light intensity (there's a great DLI thread here: http://rollitup.org/t/cannabis-daily-light-integral.921153/ , pay attention to @Slinging PAR 's comments)

    Shortening flowering

I've asked this question before and have gotten the following responses (from different people): 1) Higher temps 2) add UVB 3) shortened day cycles (less than 24 hours day cycles) 4) more Red (630nm and/or 660nm) , or higher CRI 5) GLR in veg (leads to faster start of flowering) 6) using 730nm...

    Lukios Secret Garden

I'm working on getting some CD1 to grow out so I know where it's coming from.

from my reading, I think you have to be careful of CBD liquids that are using MCT oil as their base.

    Lukios Secret Garden

Thanks so much for the detailed info - I'm working to get eliquid dialed in for my wife. I've got CBD distillate and am just now trying to figure out the right ratio. How much CBD do you feel is effective (relative to hash/oil) for pain? Lukio I hope you don't mind the detour in your thread...

    cheap chinese COB - 2017

With the driver dimmed all the way down, driver was pulling 24W (4W per cob) from the wall. Took lumen measurement @ 12". Increased power until I got double the lumens, recorded power output from the killawatt and it was 51W (8.5W per cob). That's really not bad (48W would have been perfectly...

    cheap chinese COB - 2017

Nope - I tried those out and they were horrendously inefficient. These run about 27V @ 270ma. The really ugly wiring job above -- I have them all in parallel so I could use one of my drivers I had laying around that had a dimmer.

    dirty factory? not sure....

    cheap chinese COB - 2017

pulled out the cheap cobs to compare them to my qb288 clone. It appears the cobs are a little warmer than the samsungs (I assume these are probably lm561B or Bplus @ 3000K). I compared lumen output with cheap meter and at 50W draw (measured at the wall), they actually measured about identical...

Shootin fer mids (if I’m lucky!)

the meanwells I have do 65A inrush according to spec (hlg-185h-48) http://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=HLG-185H that said, no one has reported failures so the relays must be rated well for inrush current

Shootin fer mids (if I’m lucky!)

I'm trying out the sonoff basics using the loop timer. I'm most concerned that the inrush current will eventually foul the relay, but Chronikool has not run into that problem and he runs a fair number of drivers on his.

Shootin fer mids (if I’m lucky!)

yep, I've got 4-8 beautiful babies waiting to move to the flower tent ( I think I'll top them all for 4 main colas) -- I'm wanting to hurry flower as much as possible, knowing there will be some price paid in weight.

Shootin fer mids (if I’m lucky!)

It's fun to see what 180W of QB does in a 3x2.... I'm dropping this here (I hope you don't mind me jacking with your thread for a minute) because of your documentation of shorter light cycles (You landed on 8 hrs of light, right?). This is my new 2x2x4, ~160W of Bridgelux EB 2nd generation...

When QBs are cheaper than strips?

don't leave out the 2nd generation bridgelux EB strips in your comparison... honestly I haven't compared pricing lately so I don't know if they are cheaper, but they are quite good (and efficient)

***SONOFF - WiFi Wireless Smart Switch***

looks like I didn't do enough reading: https://www.itead.cc/wiki/EWeLink_Introduction#Loop_Timing loop timing is not supported on the multi gang models (like the pro)

***SONOFF - WiFi Wireless Smart Switch***

Just started playing with it - doesn't appear to support a cycle timer function which I thought it would. I may check out home assistant to see if it can do what I need.

***SONOFF - WiFi Wireless Smart Switch***

Just wanted to say thanks for the sonoff discussion... I had not heard of them before and had created some of my own custom timers... I like this tech, especially for the price... my 4 ch pro arrives today :)
