Why don't you focus on Chris Rock re-runs and leave the comments to yourself if they aren't constructive in nature.
These 8-13 gallon buckets are what a lot of the hydro guys are using nowadays.

These are basically what Current Culture H2O systems use.
Thought this was an interesting study on solar irradiation at different times of the day (incident angle). The values of far red are pretty interesting at sunrise and sunset.

You clearly don't know shit about plants.
And you clearly don't know how read a Spectral Distribution Graph either.
If you took the time to learn more about light "in general" and how plants use it, this would not even be a discussion.
You sir, are CLUELESS.
Pick up a book with real plant...
That's cool. So did I.
Different results in my case.
LED was better. Difference wasn't huge, but it was noticeable.
Thanks for telling me how MY results went from MY grow.
You should study up on light physics and plant biology/physiology. And stop reading Jorge Cervantes Grow Bible.
Yes.
And you are incorrect in your assumption that resin production can only be increased adding UV light.
Different light sources affect plants differently.
Nope, no UV. Most of us are aware of what the SPD of our COBs looks like, as well as traditional HID.
Cree 3500K (courtesy of...
Ridiculous yields from spaces that wouldn't yield that much with traditional lighting.
Increased resin production.
Lower canopy temps for same ppfd.
Deeper canopy "penetration".
Uniform foot Print, alleviating the hot spot directly beneath the bulb.
Just to name a few...
That would require the grower being there whenever the lights came on. Not very convenient. SDS made a soft start mechanism for his lights. A smart controller (arduino) would be better at controlling a sunrise/sunset function, IMO.
Ah, a commercial unit.
Nope, I'm just a hobbyist builder of LED lights. No safety cert's here. Just sounded like an open request to outperform a Gavita which I'm 100% sure I can do for that price. Even using less Watts.
I'm curious if there will be any takers from one of the manufacturers...
I already offered!
I'm about replace my HPS side of my flowering room within the next 6-8 weeks. I would happily build you an extra fixture for that price.
That performs as requested.
That's some fire grown under those LEDs @Yodaweed!
Here is some dry nug shots.
This is Snow Cap in sunlight.
Plant health wasn't 100 this time around. Don't mind the sloppy trim job!
