    The COB effect...

If it's such a small hobby, why are you a big LED troll? Why do you always have a negative opinion of somebodies positive experience with LED's and then demand proof of their experience? And why do have such an opinion about them if you aren't willing to try them out yourself?

    Dot burn!

Which pathogens and diseases are you referring to specifically? I'd love to learn something new. I've been mulching for over a year and my plants are as happy as ever now. Never heard of mulch causing diseases.

    Dot burn!

Ever heard of Recycled Organic Living Soil? Or No-Till gardening? I'm guessing probably not based on your sarcastic condescending remarks. Well part of that system (and traditional gardening practices) uses mulch to keep the top soil moist and alive with activity. Anything can be used as...

[Solved: it is] KingBriteLed alibaba safe?

I was quoted $8.65 per 133mm Pin Fin Sink Drilled and tapped to my specs, from Alibaba. After Tax/shipping they came out to $12.30 per heat sink delivered. I only ordered 52, not 1000. To my understanding, the 133mm sinks perform very close to 140mm pin sinks. 2 week lead time. This was also...

Question for all LED users out there

Cites? Sources? Isn't 84 degrees F maximum optimal leaf temp for Photosynthesis (regardless of light source) in most plants, before diminishing returns i.e. Photoinhibition/photorespiration? Wouldn't Vapor Pressure Deficit, as well as atmospheric CO2 concentrations, dictate how much a plant...

Panel (NextLight Mega) vs higher power COB

So you are selling kits that are plug and play, use less energy, create more light than the Next Light Mega (which uses basically the same chips) and are selling these kits at less than half price of the Next Light Mega? Sounds too good to be true. If not, that's amazing and I commend you guys...

It could just be the reflection of lower quality spectrum, but the 90 CRI test plants seem a little darker green and lush, as well as larger.

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

Unfortunately not. I've heard of the product before but no hands on experience or customers that are using it at the moment. Seems cool though, if you can truly go weeks to months between reservoir change outs.

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

No problem! It's an "organically minded" hydro shop, so we carry a little bit of everything. I think you and your veggies will be pleased(:

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

I really like the way they perform. We've been messing around a bit with the colored bulbs as well as the PowerVEG UV at the shop I work at. This is some Red Sails lettuce growing in coco with dry amendments. It gets a little supplemental light from a Spectrum King SK400.

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

Not the Vero 29 Gen 6. According to the data sheet they can run up to 170+/- watts each @ 4.2A/ 41V.

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

The Gen 6 Pico EZ mate max voltage is 130V but Max current is 2.8A... Does this mean that they can truly handle 360W before it fails? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I've been wiring 6 Vero 29's in series using the Molex connectors and haven't had any issues yet (knocking on wood)...

Pictures of your DIY lights - Post your pics!!!

Sure thing. The 16 Red LEDs are being driven at 600ma and powered by the Meanwell LPF-25D-42. They are all wired in series and dimmable. All together the Red LEDs consume about 24 watts. I chose the 660nm and 730nm wavelengths in a 3:1 ratio to better fill in the 'Mccree Curve' and to hopefully...
