    Well water question

It's not necessarily a problem is the thing. I'm sure switching back to RO would solve your problem, but so could feeding less or using a different fertilizer blend. I honestly can't tell you if your water is the problem without seeing a lab analysis.

    Well water question

There is not a question in that post. If you are questioning whether your well water is appropriate, then you should get it tested at a lab. It could be high in any number of micronutrients.

    Reverse Engineering everyone's nutrients

If you're willing to wait a few days and want to fund more of this project, you'll find a shop at open-salt.com. I should have it live at the latest by Monday of next week.

You may also find CAN-27 which is a much greater percentage of ammonium nitrate.

    Reverse Engineering everyone's nutrients

You need 1 gallon of distilled water. You can find it at your grocery store for $1. You will need to empty out some if it to make room for the the fertilizers. Then add the following: 650g of Calcium Nitrate 450g of Magnesium Nitrate When it comes to adding the iron, you need to know the % of...

which product is your favorite? Do you have a preferred brand?

The reason why it's given in two parts is because of the likelihood of calcium reacting with the phosphates in the hydroponic specific blend. When you go to mix it in, there will be a local area of high concentrations and this is a problem when you have calcium with phosphates or sulfates...

Outdoor Grow, What are best nutes ???

Man, this is a really shitty thread. There's shit slingin' all over the place. :D In regards to OPs original question, most of the boutique liquid nutrient blends will probably work just fine. Just know that there is no testing or engineering behind them as it pertains specifically to one...

So does phosphoric acid, the most common pH down additive. Can't think what it would do to roots.

    Cannabis "n" Chemistry

It's actually common for large aquaculture farms to apply fertilizer to their water. Not all of them do it, but it's common enough that you can find suggestions for how much to add and so on.

They most likely will be. But if you can always add it back after the pasteurization process. Sometimes to kill the baddies, you have to spill a little blood.

    Fertz yield ranking...

To add to this: If you feed your plants with water that has ZERO nutrients in it, it will do more harm than good. The plant might be uptaking water, but it's using it's energy to feed on water with nothing in it. Therefore, the plant suffers. To compare: the reason you do not drink distilled...

    Update on Advanced Nutrients

I think what the few companies that offer silicic acid are fucking ridiculous. Is it a good source of silicon? Sure. It it worth the cost? God no. Use potassium silicate. Seriously.

    fertilizer apps "hydrobuddy"?

http://www.qal.us/schedule-of-fees.html That's the lowest price lab that I know of. $32.50. There's also Midwest Labs and JR Peter's has a testing lab as well. A lot of universities have labs that do it all too.

    fertilizer apps "hydrobuddy"?

If you want to be absolutely sure, I would suggest taking 1qt bottles, getting a lab analysis of them, and then inputting the results. I know I've posted a recipe based on the guaranteed analysis, but it is lacking in a few of the micronutrients which I believe it does actually have. The cost...

    AC/DE air cooled reflectors

All DE bulbs work better when run at higher temperatures. So, active cooling, no matter the type, is only going to hurt you. For the price of many of the DE HPS fixtures + ballast + bulb, you can be into a cheap 600-800W LED fixture that will perform similarly and last 5-10 times as long.

    fertilizer apps "hydrobuddy"?

I know we talked a bit over private conversations, but I wanted to respond to this. What do you mean by check it before you mix it all? Like a comparison between hydrobuddy outputs and what flora nova is supposed to give?

    Update on Advanced Nutrients

I don't find talking shit about someone's products to be productive. I'd rather show someone the positives of doing it a different way rather than shitting on someone else's product. So, you won't often find me saying anyone's product is bad, but rather that doing things differently is better or...
