That seems to be the consensus, Kush are very potent and very fragile. Based on the info i have gathered, it almost seems breeders go "hey, this strain is super sensitive, lets call it a kush!" Obviously this is not the case but dang, every board i have read on kush nutes says "be careful". I...

Like I said before, I'm sure its a non-issue, I'm a scaredy cat/pessimist so i take every precaution. In my situation to stay legal I must only flower 2 plants at a time. I need those 2 plants to produce 9+ oz every 3 months at the very least. My patient relies on me to keep her medicine...

Speaking of PVC, I want to bring some attn. to Stinkbuddy's thread. A PVC aeroponic system can really cut time off of vegging and, in my opinion, can be a very good addition to a scrog growers garden. Here is his thread with a breakdown of his system...

It's more heat that does it, if you can keep the canopy cool during veg and early flower it most likely won't be an issue, i have seen many screens made this way with no probs. I just like to make sure the info about PVC is out there in case someone does have an issue they will know what the...

Great screen luv2grow, you really got something great there! Lets talk about identifying good PVC vs bad PVC: Most PVC pipes have a reference code on the side, if it is complete you can use it to look up manufacturer information and often times get they're chemical makeup. This is a hassle...

Based on what you are going for, if using the diagram i hastily threw together, that is a perfect frame! Really, i couldn't have done better myself. Here's something to look out for though (and I'm sure you thought of this) PVC tubing is an excellent building material, versatile/lightweight...

First off, when using the U shape you do not need a light rail. Rails are used to get more coverage to the surface, if your scrog is a U shape it should "mirror" the light output making any need for moving lights null. For distance between the growing medium and the screen you can kinda wing...

Excellent system, i would definitely suggest that setup to growers that have the extra room to move it.

The plastic coating on the frame of that Lst/scrog reminded me of an important subject we haven't touched on, Screen styles! Let's start with standard chicken wire pros and cons: Pro- its cheap as dirt and available anywhere Con- its very flexible and often needs to be tied down in the...

That is an absolutely beautiful example of Lst/scrog. Almost brings a tear to my eye! do you know how long that took to veg/train? Truly a fine example!

Perpetual grows are great! but ya, it helps to have multiple rooms or at least several tents to offset the veg. It is possible to do a perpetual grow with scrog it just requires supercropping or LSTing during veg as opposed to vegging directly into the screen, when you are ready to flower you...

By the way, the reason I suggest 600w vs 1k is about heat, 1k require so much more ventilation and need to be 3ft or so from the plant. 600 watt run a lot cooler and can be placed much closer to the tops to supply the same amount of lumens as a 1kw. most growers that i know that picked up a 1k...

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Great questions! 24x32 is a nice size for a 600w, 1000 would be overkill but 2x1000s lighting 3 tables may be the only way to go if thats the setup you are going for. 2x600w will cover about 24 sq ft of space, the problem with 600s is that to get the same amount of lumens as a 1kw you need...

Interesting. To get 2 tops like that did you just top them early or did you fimm them, just curios. I totally agree with you DrFever. Letting a plant "do it's thing" is really the best way for them to grow, they developed over millions of years to grow that way and can produce more flowers...

Thank you sir! I feel i have been given a responsibility to pass on this knowledge for other small scale indoor growers. There are so many of us out there, it really amazes me! When I first learned about scrog i was doing LST grows and getting decent results, my closet was filled with bushes...

Those are beautiful pics of a SOG grow, thanks for the bud porn! People interested in SCROG usually want a finite number of plants, most of us are medical growers and have legal plant limits that allow us to do this without repercussions. If you are not a medical grower the benefit is pretty...

Answer: Kind of... Here's the deal with that, when SCROG was first concept ed it was designed as a method to use vertical space in wear house grow operations, ceilings were 30-40 ft high and plants were only 3-5 ft, leaving tons of space above the lights that was being wasted. A method was...
