    Let's talk serious SCROG

Here's a quick pic of my veg room with 2 Violator kush ladies in waterfarms, augmented with bubblers in the res (the other plants are afghan/skunk clones that I'm kinda sitting on at the moment)

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Quick update on the U shaped scrog. 17 days into flowering 2 afghan/skunk ladies (these are a 90 day flower so we got some time). To give an idea of the dimensions; each top is about a "dime" sized and the scrog its self is 12 sq ft (each screen being a 3x2). Still running an exposed 400w for...

Well dang! you didn't tell us you had the 1k already, that changes the story. A 1k in a XXXL hood on a rail will work fine. I will say this, if you can find a rail with limiters that will be your best bet, some rails go all the way from one side to another and you can't control it but, if you...

Lookin great stelthy, Looks like you did some choppin' to keep that cramped side under control and the left is filling out very nicely! Interesting strategy by "pulsing" your lights, I know a guy who does this and swears by it. Again, really nice setup, cant wait to see flowers!

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Lookin really nice, a rail could be useful in this situation if you only plan on using one light. a 1k roaming back and forth would cover your bases but I think if you really wanted to blast that area with light you would do 2x600s, then you wouldn't need the mover and the crossover would give...

Proposed Grow: 3 Generation Violator Kush Ebb & Flow Grow

Love it! Those VKs look so healthy and are retaining they're uniformity well. That really speaks for the breeders skill in normalizing the strain. Absolutely can't wait to see flowering pics. I will post some new pics of mine in a few days, both have been topped and are branchy as hell...

Ak.fortyseven has it right, but, if this is not possible based on space there is another way. If you are using a bucket dwc system you can build a screen that attaches to the top of the bucket, i suggest using a lighter material like PVC (i know i have bagged on pvc before but for this...

I knew i was missing something, i was like "this guy has his stuff together, there's no way he would overlook this" and I was right. Again, that setup is beautiful, anyone looking to do a small cab setup should copy your method immediately.

    Let's talk serious SCROG

That's a very interesting proposal, a 4x4 with a 1000w is gonna get hot but if you can control the temp this may be do-able. Here's how I would set this up: 3 along the bottom filling the horizontal screen and placed as low as possible (pots/buckets on the ground) then 2 per side, raised...

    Let's talk serious SCROG

As an "aside" those bottom branches look ripe for clones, if i was in your position i would get one of those in a aero-cloner with a bit of rooting agent and as soon as it got roots put it in the other dwc you have to fill that gap, even if you just put it in there and flower without vegging it...

I know it's not really necesary to repost your whole write up but i wanted to have 2 pages of this grow, Stelthy, you have one of the cleanest grows i have ever seen, private or industrial. If I ever was to need pictures for the "definition" of a clean grow space, these would be the pics i would...

Good call. In getting a deal online its a good point to bring up the turn around for repairs is long. Spending more money on local guys to make sure they're doors are open for emergencies when we need them is a good plan.

No worries, that's always a bummer, I'm waiting on a delivery as well and hoping everything is in the box and in one peace. I try to shop local as often as i can, nutes, net pots, air pumps etc. I don't mind paying a little more for the small stuff because its "tactile", I want to see what a...

Man! I missed your post by 5 min! Can't wait to see the setup I'm sure it will be excellent! Quick update on the Violator Kush i have in Waterfarms. Checked the root system today and things were dipping into the rez so i went out this afternoon and picked up a new 2-outlet air pump and a...

I would imagine just about any contaminate on your hands while working with nutrient or res could be an issue. The one i hear a lot about is soap or bleach in the res. There are seriously so many story's out there about not fully flushing hydro systems or mediums (hydroton, wool blocks) that it...

Oh ya, here's a bit of info for ya. This morning i got up to setup my nutes and feed the "ladies". Like many, I use gallon jugs to feed my babies, mixing the nutes and PHing in the kitchen. I cover the top of the jug with my hand when i shake it then place my ph meter in to get a fresh...
