My coffee pot died last night. I had to make camp coffee on the stove this morning. It turned out pretty good. I need to mow too. I have a couple of RFM's but both need blades changed. My BIL changed them last with an impact wrench, so they are a bitch to get loose without one. So I just poke...

    The RIU pumpkin boasting thread.

I didn't have any giant seeds, but I bought some of the big pumpkin seeds from a local shop. None of them had come up in a week, so I replanted. Maybe I should have waited. My other big pumpkin seeds from the Farmer's Co-Op were up in 4 or 5 days.

    Chilli world

I've never tried the fermented kind. What we do is keep the peppers whole if they will fit in the bottle, slice them in half if they wont, then fill bottles with boiling vinegar. My Mamma likes to add sugar to hers, but then she uses mostly sweet peppers with just a few hot ones for flavor. In...

    The last two times I checked on my patches, one of the supercropped limbs had broke, so I've got a little bit of premature bud drying now. I know one of them was a GV1 from the HR patch. Can't remember what the other one was. {pre-work safety meeting kicking in good right now}

It was also my love of a secure future. With her job, if I had been popped for growing or smoking, it would have been top of the fold, headline news in our local newspaper. Lots of negative repercussions for her. She makes almost 4 times what I do, and once her retirement starts, it will still...

I grew a few cantaloupes this year. But my "good" ones were softball sized. The not so good ones were baseball sized. Still good though. I ate a bunch of them in the garden.

    Bict 16/17. Straya m8 2.0

I used coffee cups and the little 3 and 4 inch pots this year for the ones I was having to pack in. You do have to hit it just right, or they will be stunted. {Or if you miss one, and it stays in a coffee cup for almost five months before you transplant, that will stunt them too} And with me...

    Good Morning/Weather Report Suite

Good morning. It's sunny and a pleasant 75F with 94% humidity at 0715. Forecast high of 92F with 40% chance of an afternoon shower. Low of 72F tonight. Driving into work on an early weekday morning is not something I do very often. I feel for all you guys who have it to do everyday. The sun and...

I work a lot when I'm high, just not always at one thing for very long. I've got to run. See you guys tomorrow.

When I was young, we would all blow though our bud in a few months. then have to root hog or die poor during the summer. I smoked a lot of leaves back then. We always topped heavy. Not just because it was good for the plant, but because we were ready for something besides leaves to smoke.

There are some good things about not smoking. You don't have to worry about if you are carrying when you get stopped for speeding or a license check. And I only spent $125 a month on it, it adds up over time. I like to collect guns, and I bought quite a few because it was just habit to stick...

Bushcrafting, the weed addition: Bugout patch

I planted some Tommy Toe Tomatoes down near the camp last night. A couple of them in a wet area. Will have to see if they thrive or die.

I meant to post this the other night, but had wifi problems. This my helper in the JP patch.

I should have got to the 3DT, JP, SEE and DDW patches today. There are two male GV1's and one of them needs to be killed. Just ran out of time. Can't do it tomorrow either, as I have office relief all day.

I smoked my tops all summer, mixed with bought pot. But it's been a while since I had to smoke leaves. Do you decarb them the same as bud? 210F for 2 hours?

That is what I had heard too. The first time I took a break from smoking was Navy boot camp. I damn sure did some weird ass dreaming then.

I hadn't seen anyone on this land for the last 5 years. This week they show up to cruise it. Oh well, that is why you do several patches. On the plus side, if they do thin the pines, it will grow up just right for growing. Lots more light after it's thinned.

I'm going to try some wire cages I guess. Although tomato cages didn't stop the SOB's from getting my two best 88's. I did use some smelly stuff this year, but you have to keep adding it when it rains. I'm still having problems in the SOL, GV and Slo {where the 88's are} patches, as well as...

Also went to the FP patch. I looked the BST1 over real good, but couldn't see any worms. Gave it a light spray of Neem anyway. I came up from the bottom, and just gave it a very quick mist. I didn't have the camera, but the seeds are starting to form on all three of the girls there.

    Covert Grow Ops/Sidetracked:

After the AL patches, I hiked in to the KP patches on a dry run. This is where the pines might get thinned. There are no males there, and none of the girls are really breeding material, so if I don't go back until time to cut, that would be alright. But I will play it by ear. Four of them are...
