Pissing off the wrong person may have terrible results ... The pissed-off person can take the issue to a level beyond imagination... And he did ... :fire: Sit back and watch .... How a monkey-business gets eradicated .... Truth (and not revenge ,baby ) is a dish best served cold .... Cree has...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

Yes ..But pin type heat sinks are way expensive ... That's what I think ,at least ... And not that easy to find them in appropriate sizes ,to fit a large COB ...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

Thank you.I'll take this as an advice. Following your advices, always kept me away from trouble. When I've ignored your guidance ,always fucked up ...(: That is meaning ,I guess ,that the FLIR IR/thermal camera follows the same rule .. Ain't that so ? ...Taking accurate temperature...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

Well ,yes .. I agree .. I prefer large diameter fans with low rpm and low power dissipation. But the heat sink has to be chosen in accordance with that kind of fans .. Meaning thick and short fins ,with quite a space between them ,in order to minimise flow resistance (thus pressure drop ) ,as...

Don't quite understand what you mean ,brother... Please, provide a more detailed explanation ... You mean that using an IR sensor is wrong from the very beginning ? P.S. And that "A fool with a tool is still a fool " .. Is it pointed towards me ? I really hope that you're not implying that I'm...

“The worst way to drown is in mainstream.” “Nothing in my view is more reprehensible than those habits of mind in the intellectual that induce avoidance, that characteristic turning away from a difficult and principled position, which you know to be the right one, but which you decide not to...

By now we know that we can grow plants even only with pure green light ... (..)Transcend takes the input of academia and its customers in crafting products with SPDs for specific applications. “Many companies build horticultural lights with just the blue/far red spectrum because of the...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

It's not that I'm not interested or passive cooling does not work ..It's just that active cooling almost always ,achieves lower temperatures with smaller mass and size of the cooling system ,than passive cooling... In my case ,I prefer to spend some extra energy from the wall ,to obtain those...

No BS ,brother ... Rather wise advices & notes from you... You do not "speak " much .. But when you do ,you're always careful at what you "say" ... Have a nice & peaceful night .

No ,you did very well mentioning it ... I do not have a great day ,either ... Hate it when I see GG and AP argue over some worthless issues ... I'm sure tha both are great guys and if they ever met in person, they would have a lot to chit-chat and lots of ideas & knowledge to exchange between...

Awkward ..Dunno exactly which way it will go .. Yeap, those ones ,i'm referring to... PCB through hole coils ,also have a ferrite core (ring ,usually yellow or dark green colored ) and are cheaper( for free, actually) to obtain-salvage- from various electronics ... Time to pay a visit to the...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

Very questionable approach ... I'm afraid ,that a lot of other variables are comin'; into play then... Even heat sink surface emissivity and reflectance might be an issue ... taking temperature measurements from metal surfaces (with IR sensors ) is tricky enough .. Like trying to cut a mirror...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

The only thing troubling me is this : " Distance:Spot ratio: 1:1 " Not very good ... To measure a 1mm diameter spot area ,that cute sensor has to be 1 mm away from the measured spot ... Almost touching the COB and LES .. Most probably ,the results obtained would be ...quite awkward ...

That is an issue ... Brother ,I'm sure you will find a practical and economical way to tackle that issue , if and since those HSF systems do a good job in cooling and deserve to be a part of your awesome lights . E : those holes (under the CXB ) that remain unused could be filled , with...

Fuck ...Those are pretty ...cool ...prices ,too ....:P I'm eager for the Vero 29 results ... Try at different amperages... If you can up to 2100 mA ,that would be perfect ! I'm not interested in passive cooling ,really. High power output , high effieciency and long service life of a COB and...

    Thermometers, Thermocouples, and Thermal Readings

you're right about that ... Thermocouples generate a voltage dynamic because of the two different metals welded together.. that voltage changes with temperature and usually is at the uV or low mV range... Thus very prone to electromagnetic noise /interference .. Don't know if wrapping around...
