Spray with some safers for thrips then. You'll find out if it's thrips if they don't die.

I think they must be dud's! lol Try a glass of water 1/4 full with a drop of bleach. at room temp in the cupboard or a dark place. Some people like to put them in the freezer for 24hrs before water. how old are your beans?
