Well seeing as your using an MH it is the perfect spectrum to prevent stretch. Even at 24 inches its hard tp get stretch with two plants

Yeah back that light up to about 24 inches at least. New clones do not need a lot of light at all and having it that close is gonna do more harm than good. As they get bigger you can gradually lower it to about 12 inches if you can keep temps down. Looks good though brother

Careful. Deer arent rabies vector species but if bitten by something rabid can and will become infected so its a possiblity this may have happened which wpuld explain why it didnt run off. I wouldnt go anywhere near it again.
