    Slow and Pale Seedlings

Thanks for that. It matches my own suspicion. I've flipped a couple of the pots upside-down and lifted the pot for a look, and I can see that the roots have reached the sides and bottom of the pot in each case. I've let the pots dry right out now, and I'm just watering with tiny amounts now...

    Slow and Pale Seedlings

Hi Guys, First-time grower here. I hope someone can recognise what's happening to my seedlings. They've been growing for nearly 2 weeks and I think they are a bit slow. There is definitely some colouration problem, with the veins of the leafs appearing darker than the majority of the leaf...

Kush van stich Auto Seed project

Wow. 100 days is a really long time for a plant advertised (on MidweekSong) as 'Auto' and 'Fast'. Looks like a beauty though, so I'd be interested to hear how it smoked. You won't know yourself if you are able to switch over to COB lighting.

Newb 1200 watt first diy led

When I first read that modern, white LEDs were delivering better results than blurples, I tried to find the answer to this question, without much success, and concluded that no none had really got to the bottom of it but that clearly the plants liked a range of different light wavelengths...

Online Seed bank that Aussies use (advise)

I'm in VIC and I just posted about my experience here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/marijuana-seeds.1288/page-81#post-13040453 Maybe we should get a bit of local co-operation going. Any Ideas?

    Marijuana Seeds

I'm in Australia, where lots of buyers seem to have struggled with seeds not arriving. Someone I know locally, who ordered some illicit goods from overseas (not seeds), had his shipment intercepted by 'Border Force', which used to be called 'Customs', until the recent paranoia. They sent him a...

Newb 1200 watt first diy led

FFS. It's hard to respond to this without being harsh. I told you this would be tough and pointed you to a great alternative from @Greengenes707 . I even included a link to his video. @Airwalker16 gave you another simple alternative. It looks like you won't listen or take simple advice,. Drill...

    Alibaba and CXB3590

Thanks, but I'm still committed to DIY. I have asked for a detailed quote though, and specified 3500K and CD bin. I'll share the response (if any).

Newb 1200 watt first diy led

If you are planning to use COB holders and screw them down with the screws described above, you'll also need to drill and tap your holes in your HeatsinksUSA , so you'll need a drill and tap to make the M3 tapped holes. This will be a massive chore and you'll find it hard to be accurate enough...

    Coco pot size

Thanks for your response. Gotta love RIU. How do you think it will restrict the height? The Cap'n (god bless him) doesn't seem to worry about slime, he just pumps out the nutrient each week and replaces it. I like the idea of effectively ''flushing' the plant every day, to ensure that the...

    Coco pot size

I've been following this thread closely and the more I read here, the more certain I feel that "Cap's Style" is the way to go. I'm a first-timer and I've built my own CXB3590 array for a 20sq ft tent. Any comments regarding Cap'n Style?

    3x2' Four 36v CXB3590 @1400mA

Dude, it looks like you are on the right track. Your plant looks great to me and your thread has been very informative. I'd be keen to learn what you used as a grow medium and how you planned your feeding and watering - keep us updated on any tweaks. Like Venom has said above, changes to...

    First Scrog

Hi Luke, Thanks for chipping in. I'm sure those self watering pots will suit someone, but I'm sold on the benefits of smart pots, which prune the roots of growing plants, among other things. Tweaking a timer on a watering system won't be hard.

    First Scrog

Thanks for that Ed. Any reason not to use monster smart pots? With 5 weeks of veg, I'm hoping to develop some big roots, just wondering if 16 gallons might be OTT?

    First Scrog

Hi Team, I'm getting ready for my first attempt at a scrog. I've got 20 square feet of space (1.4m x 1.4m) and 16 cob LEDs, I'll be using 4 plants so there will be 4 LEDs over each one. I'm planning to make 4 screens which will just fit into the space, so they'll be about a 700mm square (27")...
