    New lights plants drooping

Its too intense and too close. Raise it up to 30” above the plants then lower it by and inch or two every couple days down to around 24”. That will allow them to get used to the more intense light. At this stage your plants dont need a ton of light.

Your stripping out the Calcium and Magnesium by using RO water so you MUST add it back in. Doesn’t matter if you giving it nutrients as they don’t have enough Calcium and Magnesium to replace what you’ve taken out by using RO water. This why it’s showing clear signs of Calcium deficiency and Its...

How much longer should I be vegging?

They will show pre flowers once they reach sexual maturity, which is usually around 12” tall, just look up what male and female pre flowers look like, it’s pretty easy to tell the difference. Your plants are still very small so I wouldn’t flower for another 2-3 weeks and if you keep doing the...

    3x3 improvements

If you have the money then ditch the Blurple lights and buy new. Look for something that uses the LM301B/H LEDs by Samsung.

    Power outage

Definitely. I keep some of the solar powered LED lanterns on hand just for this. Easy to charge and they'll last for 8-12 hours. If you deal with power outages on the regular, then a solar or gas powered backup generator is a must.

    Sf vs hlg

You must be confused. That’s a list of the American made fixtures they sell on their site. Not a list of every American made LED manufacturer on the market.

Breaking down organic dry amendments by dr earth

It takes a week or two depending on the health of your soil, so you want to make sure to top dress before you start seeing deficiencies. You‘ll probably need to feed with the tea again before the Dr. Earth starts to feed them. I do a homemade mix of Happy Frog, EWC and Dr. Earth which will...

    Meanwell Driver cooling

Do it. I use them on my Spider Farmer and HLG to cool the board and they do help keep the driver a bit cooler. I place a fan on each side of the driver so it would definitely keep it cool if you put it right on top.

    HLG100 v2

They emailed me back and said the same thing. I don’t really see the need for it since they also included a pair of nuts and bolts which I trust a lot more than that little square of sticky foam.

    HLG100 v2

Bought it on Amazon and it came with a pair of nuts and bolts to attach the driver. Only thing I can think of is it’s used as a spacer in between the driver and board to allow air flow? It’s very minimal though at maybe a couple mm thick.
