I notice a lot of people hang their filter and fan to one side of the tent vs. centered above the light. After setting up my 5x5 I realized that with the 8" filter I've lost almost 2 feet in height. My question is if I were to hang the ventilation off to one side then ~25-50% of the filter...

Nope. I found a handful of the discontinued Phresh 8" in stock but I don't know if I want to gamble being able to find a replacement without totally changing my setup shortly down the line.

Has anyone attempted to adapt ridgid PVC to a standard rainwater gutter spout with a 90 deg turn upwards to vent above the roof? I'm thinking it would look pretty clean, similar to the radon fan system I just had installed. Or am I overthinking this and a ground level exhaust with carbon filter...
