    Return Pipes Clogged

I cannot. Was thinking after this run, screen off a decent size section to confine the roots to a certain area in the totes. Or get some perforated polypro or polyethylene and use as a screen.

    Return Pipes Clogged

Have a RDWC/waterfall system, 4 site with 17 gallon totes, 2" pvc return to a 20 gal res. Water levels were falling everyday and I thought it was just due to flower cycle. So I kept adding 5 gals everyday to keep res up to level. Then noticed lots of water in my tent. Thought maybe dehumidifier...

I use rapid rooters so I wont be able to help much in the Rockwool. I do recall people saying that the rockwool tends to hold water though, and possible too much water or root rot is a concern. Hopefully some one with more experience in RW chimes in.

So no waterfall? Just a current to circulate water around? If you cap and drill the feed lines inside your 7.5 gal totes it would create the waterfall and you could do away with the airstones. From what I heard airstones add heat.

    Waterfalls

Think you get you feed and return sizes mixed up. I would go 3" return, 1" or 3/4" feed with possibly a reducer to 3/4" or 1/2 inside each bucket for the waterfall pressure. Dont need the airstones. I personally have 2" returns and no issues yet with clogged returns.

I use hard water, and my ppm readings always include the hard water ppms. I would not subtract out as they plants will use any nutrients in your water. I'd have to look at my notes, but I dont think I added nutes to them until almost 2-3wks old. Keep a close eye on them, they dont need much in...

Mice Keep Eating My Newly Planted Seeds and Seedlings!

Get a cat, snap traps. Better yet get some Golden Malrin and mix with peanut butter and/or coke, or any other food source they eat. Will kill them right at the bowl. Beware though, this stuff is toxic and will kill anything that comes in contact with it, including pets. So keep out of areas with...

When i put them in the systems I kept clear plastic cups over the net pots for what seemed like 2 weeks to help keep them in higher humidity. I put them in well before the roots were ready for the system though.

Ill come along for the ride. We have very similar set-ups. I went straight "lucas" from the beginning and a 400w mg for veg and then HPS for flower. Other than that the systems are very close in regards to tote sizes and qty.

    RDWC -Slime /clogging water lines

Pretty much what everyone else has mentioned. Dont think enzymes and sterile mix. For DWC ive been reading the cons far out way the pros when using Bennie's. Not saying it cant be done, but for simplicity sake sterile is the way to go. I used 30 ml's of 13% food grade h202 for every 5 gals added...

    RDWC -Slime /clogging water lines

Do you run a sterile rez? Many people use pool shock or h202. I personally use h202 every time I add to rez.

Seedlings dying after transfer to DWC

I do recall putting plastic cups over the top of mine as well to keep humidity higher.

Seedlings dying after transfer to DWC

I did seedling that small, and had to hand water for 2 weeks until the root mass was established enough. To take over.

Well water and ph rise issue

I do stand corrected. I was misinterpreting what I had read. Im not seeing any adverse affects though from it.

Well water and ph rise issue

Seems to be working. Now a days im not 100% certain on much of anything. I can check the manual to make sure. I thought the regen flushed the filter with the sodium water which the sodium created a chemical bond with the iron and other hard minerals then flushed them into my septic tank. Good...

Well water and ph rise issue

Yes it does to clean the filter. Dont think that gets into the drinking water unless I use water during the cleaning/regen phase.

Well water and ph rise issue

Can you elaborate please? Not sure. Water test was over 3 years ago.

Well water and ph rise issue

I have well water with a water softener and was having ph and nute issues constantly. Turns out I need to add ph up as a buffer before any other nutes were added, even though my ph was around 7.4 out of the tap. My process is h2o2, ph up, gh hardwater micro, gh bloom, then ph down to 5.6-5.7...

    Fallponics vs Under Current

Do you guys run your pump continuously 24/7, or is it on a timer like 3mins on 10 off?
