Par meters are expensive. My lux meter gives me a solid grasp on the intensity of the light I am blasting my plants with. As always, research and do as you choose. Here is the article that lead me to believe I am doing well with a Lux meter. Take it or leave it...

You can take clones anytime, as long as the plant is still alive. Even in flower, you can clone and reveg... People recommend lower branches for cloning, but as I do topping cutting for training, I just root whatever I cut off.
