    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

I would go ahead and use syran wrap for the ALs, around the coco or root riot cubes or whatever medium you use, then put the extra tied off panty hose layer over that if you are worried about any gnats getting in. You can still poke in with a syringe to inject solution through it, or add small...

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

The better airflow with your new fans will help aid in tranporting the calcium to where it needs to go, and make for stronger branches and cells. Silica never made much of a difference IME, and just jacked the PH around. You would have to use it full time to even gain any benefits, as it takes...

    Jacks vs. Advanced vs. Remo

Nice! I don't have a heated stirrer yet, but I need (want) one for labwork. Might try making a DIY 3d printed setup soon, if I get the time. I do got coated bars, and strong neodymium magnets I put on a drill attachment. When I make up stock solutions, I usually make a gallon of each part...

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

You can use smaller cut up panty hose sections as the wrapping material to keep gnats out of the air layer medium too. Yep, tie it off on both ends, like a tootsie roll around the branch and coco. Then carefully poke an industrial syringe tip through the fabric to water, or just pour some on...

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

You don't even have to have medium, although they do prefer it for breeding in. Even in bare root hydro setups with or without hydroton; if your roots go bad, or so much as dry out, or even a few leaves fall down in, it's as if the gnats can suddenly smell it from trillions of light years away...

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

Yeah, unfortunately they can be another vector, and transport other plant pathogens along with them into a grow. Mold + downy & PM mildew spores, fusarium wilt, "viruses", bacteria, etc. Worst of all though.. Spider mites?! Yep, its true. They can actually hitch rides on the flyer's back.

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

I remember one time when I had a bad case of root rot in a monster DWC plant, and many of the branches kept wilting and dying off. Figured I could save it anyway, and up the hydroguard doses. I went to cut off one of the big dead branches, and it was all hollowed out with a long tunnel running...

    Jacks vs. Advanced vs. Remo

^ I've wanted to try this new part A formula out for awhile now, since it came out. I been running regular 3-2-1 Jack's hydro for like 4 years or so now (mostly in DWC, and a few coco runs here and there), and still sitting on more than half the bags. I'm kinda reluctant to buy anything else for...

Maybe they would send us some of the samples to try out? https://generalhydroponics.com/samples/ It would be nice if I could drop off some extra potted plants at my other friends places, and tell them to just make sure to keep the coco watered next season. Not worry if they are over...
