    Without seeing them I couldn't say for sure but they're always running around in the top inch of the soil. If your mother plant is using the same soil and your not seeing any damage you might be just fine. Poke around the top inch of soil in your mother plant and see if you can find any there...

    Fox farms does come with predatory mites and they will feed on decomposing matter in the absence of prey. If your seed maybe died for some reason that would probably explain you finding them in there. But I don't think they ever look like worms in their life cycle so that could be something...

    I sometimes find one or two stray hypoaspis crawling on a plant, they always find their way back to the soil though

    I've been using fox farms ocean forest for a while now and it always comes packed with these. They're beneficial predatory mites, hypoapsis miles, it's all good. Although when I first noticed them I had the same exact reaction you did
