Looking For A Tester for ViparSpectra New XS1500 Pro - Ready or not?

Yes, and I think it might help provide even light coverage across the canopy. It would be interesting to compare it against a few other lights (LEDs and HIDs). @Natea @HippieFarmer420 @Prawn Connery

    North Atlantic Seed Company

I was very happy with my first order from them. I will be ordering from them again, definitely.

    Breeders, Moneygrabs, and Hermies

Everyone and their dog is now a “breeder.” If breeders are not culling their breeding stock closely, then this stuff will happen.

    Cubensis liquid culture…legal? What changed??

There’s always a chance that I will get back to Denver and pick some up (are they legal statewide now?).

The Lazarus Grow: my first grow in almost 18 years

Tonight I sexed plants and cut clones from the obvious females. The clones are in labeled ziplock bags with a bit of water in the bottom, and are in the bottom produce drawer in my fridge. If something extraordinary should show itself, I have a nice stash of cuttings stored away for future use.

    Cubensis liquid culture…legal? What changed??

I want to get started with a shroom project, but I am extremely wary about ordering anything online. I’m in a very nasty prohibition state. Then again, I have only tried shrooms once about 20 years ago and it was not a good experience. I don’t have access to anything, so it’s either forget about...

Looking For A Tester for ViparSpectra New XS1500 Pro - Ready or not?

What are the exact dimensions of this light? (I ran into trouble because my closet is exactly 24” wide, and the excellent light I got from Spider Farmer just wouldn’t fit.)

My new light is too big!

For the time being, I have boxed the light back up and put it away. Perhaps later on I will find a way to put it to use. In the meantime, I am growing without it and my plants seem quite happy.

My new light is too big!

The ballast actually can be fully remote. However, the ballast is not the problem. It’s the frame- it’s just too big. There’s no getting around that.

My new light is too big!

Oh I wasn’t very clear- I wanted to knock about an inch off both ends of both mounting rails- or all 4 ends. We’re on the same page.

The Lazarus Grow: my first grow in almost 18 years

Today marks week 6 of veg. Time to start reducing the photoperiod from 24/0 to 18/6. Next week, I will reduce the time further to 14/10- and the week after that is when I plan on flipping over to 12/12. During these last two weeks of veg, I will start looking closely at the plants and start...

My new light is too big!

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. I am considering just getting one of the local cnc machine shops to fabricate a couple of 20” mounting rails, with appropriately spaced holes to screw in the light bar clips. If I can find whatever connectors the OEM used, it should be extremely easy to finish...

My new light is too big!

For the moment, I have boxed it back up until I decide what to do. My current grow is doing well with the existing lighting arrangement, and this new light isn’t critical at the moment. I know several machinists, and might actually have one of them make me an entirely new pair of mounting...

My new light is too big!

I have not plugged the unit in yet, so I don’t know if everything is working properly. My best guess is that the two mounting rails are hollow, with some wiring tucked inside. It really should not be difficult to knock the ends off, though the outermost light bars will likely need to be moved...

My new light is too big!

I decided to show you guys what I am talking about, rather than describe it lol Firstly, the suspension cables that were packed with the unit were clearly made for a different model type. (Not a big deal, as it only takes a minute to cut and crimp new cables.) Now, I took the light and tried...

    Spider Farmer Valentine's Day Giveaway❤️

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Spider Farmer for being so kind and patient with me, and for your generosity. This is a really well built light, and everything was securely packed. (The stickers are a fun little touch, too.) I can’t wait to use it!

    mason jars are shit

I buy my jars in boxes, a dozen at a time. Get the amber colored jars if you can find them, and store your jars of bud in the box, in a cool dark place (think great grandma’s root cellar). Toss a silica packet and an oxygen absorber in there, and you should be good.

My new light is too big!

There are some cables in there, yes- I should be able to gently remove the end caps, and take a look inside tomorrow. If I cut just about a half inch off each end, it should not interfere with any of the wiring. Just for clarity, I am talking about the two main mounting bars, and NOT the actual...
