Understandable it gets expensive quick. I bought a cheap one as a back up just Incase so I don’t have any down time. I paid less than 30 on amazon for just the hood. It’s not one I will run all the time but it will get me through a week or two as needed

Sounds like you replaced the wrong part. It happens when trouble shooting. Sounds like you need to check your hood out. The socket for the bulb could have burnt up or you could have a short somewhere in the line leading up to it. Try a different one if you can to see if it works on a different hood

Take the base off the fan and use some u bolts to secure the fan to a corner post or zip ties to get whatever angle you want or need. I have mine on the outside of my tent just blowing in a small hole

How about a small swamp cooler outside the tent to push cool air in? Just a foam cooler with ice in it and a piece of pvc to an opening in your tent with a fan blowing into the top of the cooler to push the air into the pvc to cool it some

If your growing in a tent there are things you can try to help reduce the smell. It won't take it all away but go to your local home store and get some of the active carbon filters for like a furnace and cover your holes with that and inside the tent, you can get things to help absorb the smell...

Sorry not trying to hijack you thread here. Nimbud could you give a little detail on taking a sample for testing? Where do you take it from? How do you dry it? The basics if you don’t mind for those of us who have not done this before.

I use the one in the pic right there. It works great for me and I have one of the pens and have found mys of checking the pen readings with the drops. The pen was a waste of money and time. If you have to have one spend the money on a good one in my opinion
