The dark green waxy leaves show N toxicity. The pale bleached out leave with interveinal chlorosis appears to be potassium or iron deficiency. Either PH problem or imbalanced feed. What are you feeding and what PH are you watering at? Next time you water check input PH and the runoff.

Nutrients require specific ph ranges to be utilized. If your ph is to low/high your locking out those nutrients from being utilized

Miracle grow soil is heavily amended with slow release fertilizers. Which is likely the cause of your issues. Looks like possible N toxicity and K deficiency. How often are you watering and what is the ph of your tap water.

Youll likely contaminate it transferring it to paper. Fold it up and seal another piece of foil around it while working it inside of a SAB. Once sealed tape it to hardcover book under the dust cover. Also spores are legal in majority of US. You might be making this harder on yourself than need be.

I would go swabs in that scenario. You don't want to agitate grain that much and that consistently so short after inoculation.
