I can make a video for you if you have never done it before

0ppm and a pH of 5 would not affect the pH of soil or hydro solution

    I'm in the weeds

Here you go again. Distilled water kills plants, lol. Your soil will absolutely buffer from 5.0 to 6.5 if you are adding pH water with a super low ppm. How do you 2 not understand this??????

    I'm in the weeds

Distilled water has a PPM close to zero. What's the point in measuring pH if that's the case? The second you add to any soil, it will immediately alter the pH, rendering your measurement of it pointless.

Just trying to combat the false information you are spreading for anyone that stumbles upon this post

Distilled water "kills your plants" pH of 5.4 "kills your plants" Maybe you are just not that good at growing, lol!

Sounds like we are agreeing. I was initially commenting on the guy that said "distilled water kills plants"

Ever notice how 1 teensy little droplet of pH down will make distilled water pH 2.0, but a full nutrient solution it won't even move the needle? What does that tell you? RO or distilled water will react with the salts in the soil, making your pH adjustment pointless.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever read, no offense, but truly a stupid and incorrect statement. You really have no idea what you are talking about lol

Vertical Grow A Bit Out Of Control

I would try to increase airflow, I can imagine looking at the plants and setup you are prime for bud rot. Sounds about right based upon what you are describing as well. I would focus on thinning out the plants to allow adequate airflow throughout as they finish up.

    Any suggestions?

So I topped these down to the 3rd node and used the LST clips. Pretty sure I butchered it but excited to see how they respond!

    Any suggestions?

Thanks! Didn't realize those existed. Just ordered some

    Any suggestions?

When you top them, do you count down to a certain node? First step in lst would be bending them 90 degrees?

    Any suggestions?

I have these going in some Waterfarm hydro buckets, the light is a Spider Farm 7000. These plants are about 4 weeks old. They are growing vertically quickly and I would like to spread that growth out so as to not get to close to the light and make better use of my grow space. Any suggestions...

    Help with leaf problem

It looks like a calcium deficiency to me. There is some in the potting soil, but it is going to be depleted pretty quickly since it is a Macronutrient. Also if you cut the soil with perlite there is even less. I would add some Cal-Mag and things should bounce back pretty quickly.

    Whats wrong with the leaves?

Looks like it's already in shock. Get a good potting soil and transplant into a bigger container ASAP. All of your problems will go away.

    Whats wrong with the leaves?

What?!? Haha, that would kill any plant. The crown needs to be above the soil!!

Plant leaf turning yellow with burnt tips (HELP)

Think about the amount of stress the plant is going through. As you said it's been super hot, and your plants are in small black pots. The root zone is way warmer than it should be and the plant is drying out daily. Sounds like a lot of avoidable stress.

    Whats wrong with the leaves?

It can be both, Calcium and Magnesium are both secondary macronutrients that are the majority of what soils are comprised of. If you are growing in hydro with pure RO water, you would run into a deficiency of both very quickly. I am not saying that is the issue, just pointing out you can have...
