Do I really need a carbon filter?

If you don't mind the strong odor of weed, then you can go without a carbon filter. But I would highly recommend getting one. What price range are you looking at for a fan and filter?

    soil ph tests

I have a Milwaukee PH tester too, they are really great. The Milwaukee will really be all that you will need. Just measure your water and nutes with it and don't worry too much about the soil PH. Soil will always want to balance at 7.0 PH, so just keep your water and nutes within range and you...

Help my mother is out of control?!

Since it has been in veg for a long period of time, your plant is showing it's sex. You have a female obviously, and since it has been in veg, it's fine to take clones.

    Need a bit of advice

MH is great for veg because it provides more of a blue spectrum for the plants to grow. While an HPS is great for flowering because it provides more of the red spectrum. If you can swing getting an MH for your grow, then I would definitely recommend it.

    Need a bit of advice

The seedling stage lasts for about 2 weeks, and the vegetative stage lasts generally for 4 weeks. Then you switch to flower under a 12/12 light schedule and the stage of flower will depend of the strain.

    help with some terms

For your first grow, I would really recommend going with soil rather than hydro. Lumens are the the amount of light that is emitted from the lamp.

Your temps actually sound fine. It's hard to tell from your pictures, but judging from the pic of your plant in the other thread, I now believe that your plants are suffering a nutrient deficiency. Sorry for the bad info and to put a scare into you.

    Need a bit of advice

It's really your choice if you want to use a 24/0 or a 18/6 light cycle for vegetation. I will tell you that if you use a 24/0 light cycle, your plants will grow faster. You can switch to an 18/6 light cycle at anytime during veg.

Is that need to flush ?!

Hi neved, No, your plants don't need a flush. It looks like your plants are suffering a nutrient deficiency since they are yellowing at the top.

What would you like to know about heat stress? Are your plants suffering from heat stress? I need to know what are your temps, what kind of lights you are using and how far away they are from the canopy. Some pics would be nice too.

Not a problem. Good luck with your plants and germinating. :)

    Help

I would use the paper towel method and then transfer to the Jiffy cubes and put them in light. If you want to skip the paper towel method and just do it from Jiffy, then place them under some CFLs.

    Help

When you have the seed in the rooting cube, take a chunk of the rooting cube to LIGHTLY cover up the hole so that air does not get to the root. Then place it under a light. The light at this point can be a small CFL, the sun or I actually use a regular light to grow my seedlings.

    Help

There are several methods to germinating a seed, but I like this method and I have had a 100% germination rate with it so far. 1. Place your seed in a shot glass of water over night in a dark, warm place. I usually have it in the water for about 14-16 hours. You may or may not see the tap root...

    new growing set up, comments?

You may want to consider a more powerful inline fan with 2x400w lights in your tent. Just my two cents.
