Anyone want me to waste a handful of seeds in some water and journal it here ?

Too wet yet they will start fine in straight water.

I was kind of just showing you guys these seeds that cracked but didn’t progress further. Thought it was interesting (and shitty because I wasted $70 lol)

I love that you all are giving me help but at the same time I’ve started hundreds if not thousands of seeds, always in paper towel just like this sometimes wetter sometimes dryer (Shrug)

I’m not sure how everyone can tell the towel is too wet from the picture provided lol.

Ok I may try the peroxide tonight if still nothing.

But either way maybe I will throw a couple of them into dirt. It’s not often I buy seeds as I’ve got thousands of them so I really wanted these lol. Especially at $70 for five

Really eh. This is going back roughly twenty years, I had a jar full of seeds from a seeded crop. I didn’t know what to do with them so I put hundreds of them in water and just left them. They all shot out roots about 4-6 inches long with opened cotyledons before they wilted and died.

Too wet? I don’t think that’s possible.

Seeds cracked after 24-36 hours in paper towel but no progress since. It’s been about 5 days now. 4 out of 5 seeds did this. Strange.

Do the stems touch the water ? If so they’ll be fine.

Is it possible this white plastic ducting is letting some smell through? I’ve never had a carbon filter remove all the odour. I’ve been through approximately 5-6 different sizes and brands over the years. I just realized maybe I should rip that out and use tin.

I’ve got the Mars 2000 in a 1m x 1m and it seems to do pretty well.

What’s the wattage on them? I think the Mars is 450?
