Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

Agreed! I have no clue but it's something I've wondered about. I keep bees and one year I sent some honey into a lab to have the pollen analyzed, there were unexpected things in there like poison oak pollen and pine pollen, but no Cannabis. I don't know if there were any males within the area...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

I really have no clue this is all complete speculation on my part, but it seems like Cannabis is just as susceptible to insects as most other plants in my garden/yard, so if it is a repellent it's not a very effective one.

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

I've never seen a study showing higher THC strains being more bug resistant, have you? Is Hemp more susceptible to insects than "drug" type strains grown for taste and THC?

    Tomorrow, I think...

I think you'll be fine harvesting now. A little longer would be a little better but it's all about harvesting in a window in which you can achieve the best quality, and there are many factors that effect quality including weather. beautiful plant, good luck!

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

Are we sure that the production of THC and terpenes is a defense mechanism and not an attractant? They certainly attract us and that attraction has caused us to spread it to places it would otherwise never have grown if it weren't for our attraction to THC and terpenes. That's a pretty...

Do any Outside growers try and keep plants Low

It all depends on what you want or what your space requirements are. A 4 to 5 foot hedge is totally doable and if you plant them in the ground you'll get more plant mass for that height. I've also grown an un-topped plant horizontally along the ground by tying it down in several places as it...

    What the Funk?

Belita Woods(October 23, 1948 – May 14, 2012), the lead vocalist for the band Brainstorm in the 1970's. In 1992 she joined George Clinton Parliament/Funkadelic. Today is her birthday! Her voice was transcendent, my favorite vocalist of all time. Her voice actually made me cry a few times...

    Curing questions

I completely agree about slow dry vs fast dry, I usually dry for 14 days or more, and I also feel that in many cases there is an improvement in smokability and flavor after three weeks of stable storage. The part that I'm skeptical about is that the improvement is a result of "off gassing" as...

    Bud washing

I wouldn't discourage anyone from bud-washing it can be useful if needed, but I don't think it should be considered to be as compulsory a practice as washing vegetables. Not everyone needs to bud wash, but everyone should wash their veggies before they eat them.

    Bud washing

You ingest the food you eat, and digesting things like Salmonella and Coliform can make you sick, so you should wash it. when you're smoking something this isn't an issue. Tobacco is not washed before you smoke it, chewing tobacco is. If it's dirty enough to need washing turn it into hash.

2 week of flowering in ohio

I don't think I've ever had a plant start flowering in October. Good catch Billy. I've flowered them through to the end of December under natural lighting, and they did finish, but I did it with a hoop house and a heater(outside temps were in the low 20's to high teens), and towards the end...

    What the Funk?

Glen Goins arranged and produced what was to be to be the debut album of the band Quazar. Sadly Glen passed away, at age 24(!) from Hodgkin's lymphoma. He never saw the album released.

They are amazingly resilient! This picture was taken a week ago, night time temps had been between 41 and 36 degrees for the last three weeks.

2 week of flowering in ohio

If the OP is referencing nighttime temperatures, not a constant temperature of 40 degrees, then they will flower. They definitely slow down, but I've had plants finish beautifully with night temps colder than 40 degrees. They can take freezing temps fine, check out the outdoor threads on this site.

Most plants do fine down to around 27 degrees, below that you can start to see some damage.

SoRom(Southern Humbolt Black Domina/Romulan) X NL1. Smell's like skunk and rotting tropical fruit. Amazing smell! Earlier on she smelled like straight up bubble gum but it has morphed into a funkier smell. I pollinated her with a nice NL1 male. I have only seen SoRom X NL1 as a freebee. Grown...

I read your post from when you grew the Red Grape Lebanese a few seasons ago and thought it sounded good. I like earthy terps and what's not to love about fresh carrots? But the smell I got totally surprised me, super sweet and fruity, not subtle at all. We'll see how well the scent translates...
