I reckon a lot more people have had it than they would care to admit; how many of us have had a mild flu like cold this year and we are told it’s nothing ? They didn’t stop Chinese mainlanders landing until recently and this shit was found late last year.....

Well those cunts get sorted real good with the sand gnats; not seen one since using it. Do we get spider mites in Aus? Never encountered them and the sound of what you guys say never want to....

Nothing worse; good luck with it mate...the oil magnifies the sun and burns your leaves that would be the main problem I would say; if you want a natural way to control them with less chance to burn your leaves...you can plant marigolds around your dope plants and use a liquid mixture of chilli...

Yep.....one of those days I remember the outside temp gauge in the car read 49c....wrong. Mine are next to a shed facing west so get the summer sun at its peak from about 1pm onward; plus I was able to water regularly

Anyone companion plant ? Forgot to mention; the sand also helps with other insects that lay eggs etc under the leaves as it reflects the sun under the leaves...those little pricks don’t like direct sunlight so less of them

Don’t think I’ve encountered spider mites....what colour are they ? I have not had an infestation since using sand of those prolific little black things that end up all through your buds and look like little specs of dirt.

Your probably correct....not trying to disprove any of what you guys are saying; just I had a lot less issues when I used sand.

100% but they still lay their larvae in the moist areas and hatch and that’s why you get those infestations; especially when you consider we are loving the plants etc so the soil is A grade for them. Do away with your mulch and use the river sand and I guarantee you will see a huge difference...

First time grower, advise needed please

I’m with Mak’er....the blade on the left has a caterpillar that looks like it hit it....some little insects make your leaves look like that as they eat from underneath......I use washed river sand in the top layer over my soil in the pots; little insects can’t reproduce in the sand and you won’t...
