Yea that LED i would put like an inch away but CFLs run hotter so i would prolly do 1.5 to 3 inches away just depends on how hot it is

well i tried to upload pics of it but it wouldnt let me? so i dont know whats rong with it.. But here is basicly what i did... i took a peice of plywood cut it about 8x10 or so and then wrapped that mylar stuff.. well really its the emercency blanket and i folded that up a bunch till it barley...

That looks awesome man. That is impressive.. if my box grow was that big i would do something like that.. but for the size of mine i think i found a cheap idea that might work for me... just a buch of Y splitters, some chair, some mylar, a light fixture, and some plywood. i hope it works well...

good thinkin! lol i drilled some holes in the back of the box and am rewiring the pc fans to the outside of the box.. well the fan are actually already re wired.. now just to find a way to set up a cfl light fixture then my box will be complete... for now anyway lol

i just took everything outta my box to see how it would work with it outside thebox... and i dont know if it is going to.. the only outlet that is close was right behind thebox and with all the stuff that i need hooked up to it it doesnt seem like ill be able to have it behind the box with out...

I honestly dont have any extra computer chairs for legs. and i have two 120 mm fans the intake witha 7 volt charger hooked up and the other exhaust with a 9 volt hooked up. i have some lights strung up in there right now just to see how temps run... the lights in there now arent very hot cause...

how close is your light? i would think that because its led it wont emit much heat and you could bring it closer to your plant. unless you want tall stringy plants. im just using cfls and they have worked good so far. my plants are small and bushy which is what i want. But my cfl lighting is...
