    Lightning for seedlings?

I would not use sunlight at all until the night time temp outside stays above 60-65 for a few days solid. Just use some CFL bulbs, preferably 23w or higher to veg them for about a month. Then you can transplant them outside if that is what you are wanting to do. If you want to flower them...

1st week in the ground, yellow tips normal?

Oh hey, I forgot...haha....bongsmilie I also have some Alaskan Fish Fertilizer (5-1-1) and some Superthrive. Is it too early to add them? And would 1 drop of Superthrive per gallon do any good without fertilizer? I figured I would wait till about the end of week 2 then add 1/4 Tablespoon...

Haha no prob man, I appreciate all the info whether its in one post or 50 :P I have been trying to go more by their water schedule but I have them in Jiffy pots and the pots seem to dry out very fast, especially with the fan blowing on them. They have been recieving at least one healthy...

Man those buds look GREEEAAAT! I was wondering, did you have most of your lights up top? Or were some of them hanging down by the mid to lower parts of the plant? Either way they all look great and your girl is a fuckin CHAMP for posing for that pic! Cant wait to show that pic to my wife and...

1st week in the ground, yellow tips normal?

Well its happening to about 1/2 of the plants on their petals but no the leafs. About 3 or 4 of the plants have yellowish leafs and probably 7 or 8 have yellowish petals now. I will back all the CFLs off a tad and see if it helps, I have also switched to distilled water from tap water. Thanks...

1st week in the ground, yellow tips normal?

UPDATE The tips are still yellow but now the leafs are curling under quite a bit. Is this due to over watering? Heat too high? I have not started adding nutes yet, should I? Thanks a bunch KB

First time using CFL's In A Closet - Suggestions? Pics Included

Well if triple their size now is as big or bigger than you want them I would start flowering as soon as possible. It is ideal to start 12/12 around a month or longer, but not if you have height limitations. Im no pro on the subject, maybe someone else can give you an opinion on whether its to...

    First CFL Grow, Temp Questions...

Yeah go back and look, I missed them the first time too. At our Home Depot they were over by the HPS and MH lights, not with the rest of the CFLs. They are a green box and the number 300 is the largest number on the box, which is the wattage equivalent. Good luck, you can always order online...

Thanks so much for the mixed feedback guys, nothing better than hearing multiple opinions. I think I will just stick to one exhaust hole for noe on the backside of the closet venting into the walls. If its not enough I will see what can be done from there but I really want to avoid cutting...

    First CFL Grow, Temp Questions...

Just keep adding CFLs till its arm enough :) I would only use 100w equivalent (23-26w) CFLs MINIMUM personally. They are just about as cheap and give off more heat/light. Or just get another 42w or two, Home depot has a 68w 300w equivalent for $15, and fits a regular light socket. Its for...

First time using CFL's In A Closet - Suggestions? Pics Included

If you are on a budget go buy the cheapest 3 liter offbrand soda yuo can find, cut the bottle in half and use the bottom half to grow in. make sure to put a bunch (like 6 or more) holes in the bottom for drainage. Ive seen complete grows that use nothing bigger, keeps the plants nice & small...
