the one pictured is Apple tarts Going to run a purple kush, along with a tarantula genetics strain and one strain from in house genetics. Very excited! fixture is an electric sky 300. It has done very well in the past with my small setup.

First time in 3 years. I tended to take a 6-9 mo break lol. Anyways. Starting w one to get back up and running and will be pulling clones for some mothers and eventually dropping 2-3 more seeds for more mothers / clones. so excited to be back up and running again.

All the feedback has been awesome. I’ve decided that since I will be recycling this soil and using it for grow after grow I might as well just keep it in the 20 gal container, drill some holes in the bottom and recycle the shit out of it over many grows. I think I’ll go that route vs 2, 7 gal...

Generally curious here and not trying to be argumentative, but why in a large 30 gal or 4x4 bed? What would be the disadvantage of living soil in say a 5 or7 gallon pot?

Your curiosity is warranted! Lol To answer your question, I don’t - I was generally curious.. and maybe a little stoned!! Haha What brought on the thought was watching the how you video on the website… He was showing how once the fungi form that just running your hand through it will disturb...

I’ve used sticky traps in the past and they’ve always worked. I’ve always leaned on the soil staying wet side to keep the soul alive. Drip system so gravity helps do all the heavy lifting lol

I appreciate the feedback. In regards to the mulch comment, what kind should I look for? move used earth dust in the past and there was always a phase of fighting off the gnats from the organic makeup. Thinking I may do a mulch later this time to help fend them off (or sand) but not sure what...

Go on… lol transferring from bin to pot will absolutely destroy the networks…. Lol. Is the bounce back easy for the fungi? I would imagine so but-doesn’t hurt to ask.

Do you recommend against it? I literally just set it in the bin tonight, mixed in the earth dust and lightly saturated/ dampened w water (not soaked) Would it be wise to go ahead and put the soil into the fabric pots or will the fungi bounce back quickly when I put them into the pots?

Bouncing off of that and in your opinion, will transferring from large bin to fabric pot disturb the fungi? I do plan on supplementing w micorrizae when I place the seedling into the cooked soil

How big of a deal is it to keep stored / cooked living soil in a large bin and transferring to fabric pots after initial cook phase? main reason I ask I’m wondering how the transfer would mess up the mycelium network that is building. Would the transfer not completely demolish that existing...

Question for you - do you think it’s a bad idea to cook in a bin and transfer to the bags in 2-4 weeks? the reason I askis bc at that point the mycelium network will have formed and transfer of from the big to the pots will surely f all that up will it not???? Or ami over thinking it lol.

Green sunshine touts that it doesn’t even need ph’d lol but you can never be too sure when testing vs not testing lol
