So close to finishing flowering... Please help diagnose with picture! Excellent info.

lower leaves, right? at this stage of flowering, I wouldn't worry about that, N def. You can provide some more N if you want but I don't find it necessary, as long as the upper leaves stay ok.

'Wick' humidifier in hydro, anyone ever done it?

i'm not sure, but 5 days on RO sounds counter-productive in the good case. I'd do it now to resolve the problem before you go away, you still have time. What is the status of problems now? How is new growth doing? Did you resolve the initial problems you had? Was there a time when new growth was...

planning my 4' tent, need advice

So I wanna use 2 lamps (600 + 400) in my 4'X4'X8' tent, in a vertical grow with plants on the floor or on a drain table. I have an AC in my room. It's a 1h/p unit with full-load consumption of 0.9kw/h. a normal size bedroom (~3X3 meters). In the coming winter, outside night time temps normally...

'Wick' humidifier in hydro, anyone ever done it?

yes, basic means any nutrient that has both NPK and micro elements, either for veg (more N) or for flower (more PK) depending on your stage. i should admit that this last advice is based on a hunch more than anything else - but still I think it's worth a shot if your problems are not improving...

Re-posting due to not getting anywhere

yes, but it would be much easier and more accurate if every one just used EC :P

'Wick' humidifier in hydro, anyone ever done it?

humidity has nothing to do with your problems, forget about it. listen to people with 5 bars of rep and not 1. "I don't think 40-47% humidity if making your plants show def signs. I don't like what your feeding your plants. A jump from from 280 to 490 is fine. I go from clone (200ppm) to veg...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

yes that is slime. It usually starts there, and will soon infect your plants, if hasn't already. This stuff is highly contagious. Fight it with the tea, if peroxide fails.

Re-posting due to not getting anywhere

totally agree about that thread, but that last comment is ignorant. Your TDS/ppm meter is actually an EC meter, as the only way to measure mineral mass within a solution is by testing Electrical Conductivity. The resulting unit EC (microSiemens) is the universal measurement, while the EC value...

    Mouldy weed plzzz help!!!

you have to dry them as quickly as possible. Consider using the oven for a short while on the lowest temp, even just to speed things up a bit. It will impact taste but at least you won't lose it all. if it's just a little mold, i'd smoke it.

    Brown Spots

you're right about 5.5-6.0 or 6.2 being optimal range. You should flush your plants from time to time, when problems occur. If a plant is hungry in soil it is not because it's lacking food but rather because it is prevented from eating it.

'Wick' humidifier in hydro, anyone ever done it?

really, why is humidity so important? it's true that high RH is good when growing, but really, i've grown plants in 15%, no problems at all. There are such more important issues, like fungus and bacteria.

    Heat stress ?

believe me, I know what you are taking about. It took me quite a long time to study and improve as well. No, this does not mean you should quit - that is not the american spirit I know :) I think what you are lacking is mostly theoretical knowledge - i.e more reading. I will even say what I...

    Heat stress ?

no, don't chop her now, she's got a few more weeks. though once she's pretty much ready, there won't be any reason to wait longer for her. so she's kinda screwed, and may have not really had the potential to be really something, afraid to tell you. she took the heat pretty badly, looks like it...

is this root rot ? HELP ! (pics)

man, you have to keep the dwc no more than 21c (75f) - otherwise it is like drowning a soil plant in water. roots need oxygen. it's hard to tell if your roots are rotten by now because of the light, but dude, this is wrong... get a water cooler or an a/c, there's no point in putting more oxygen...

Mg, Ca, and Nutrient Lockout Issues..Need Help

well, with all due respect to UB, while it's clear that the evaporation process is not always as simple as 'let it sit overnight', chlorine does indeed evaporate from water, however the question of when it evaporates and under what circumstances are less clear. I do believe that in the case of...
